Again, it doesn't matter if USC and LSU "got taken", the market was not just set by Riley/Kelly, but also by guys like Mel Tucker.

And stop it with the "Lane is going to take less money" bullsh!te. He is already making $4.5 million per year. IF IF IF any other team wants to hire him in this overheated market, it is going to take $9 million. At least. You may not like it, but that is reality. There is no way in **** his agent lets him take millions less than Mel Tucker.

For reference, you should look at the date each of those contracts were signed. 3 of the top 4 were within the last few weeks.

Remember when Joe Flacco was the highest paid QB....once Mario gets paid, I guarantee you that he won't be in the top 5 salary-wise after next year (i.e. Saban, Dabo, Day, etc will get a raise)
