#1 thing I learned from last night's game!

You do realize, using your logic, we are thiiiiis close to Clemson.

Last 3 years Clemson averaged the 11th ranked class

Miami, 14th

Because we signed more players

But if you go by averages we are 2.55 lower

We are so close guys!

Average ranking per player on each team's roster:

Bama - 92.56
Clemson - 90.23
Miami - 88.17

Clemson is actually closer to Miami in talent than they are to Bama.

Coaching still trumps sheer talent! Sure, Clemson is a very talented team on paper, but if you compare their roster to Alabama's, there is still a HUGE gap. Clemson has just done a superior job of evaluating talent, coaching up that talent, and maximizing that talent via scheme and play calling. They've been doing it for almost a decade now, and guess what, it's increased their ability to recruit more sheer talent.

This gives me hope that we can still solve this problem despite the paper recruiting losses.

You also need a QB with a lot of talent. Lawrence threw some tough contested balls in tight windows. Those were major league throws.

The trouble is, you are using the irrelevant years where hardly any kids are even left on the roster which you can't or won't try to grasp.

Alabama’s defense wasn’t a typical Nick Saban defense. They were not good on defense. They ran into an elite offense last night that wasn’t afraid to go toe to toe with them. Bama’s defense was overmatched last night.

Nope, those numbers reflect the ranking of every scholarship player on each team's roster.

You are equating recruiting rank with talent. Bama's average star ranking is better, but Clemson has better players. Dabo is a better talent evaluator than Saban. And as you mentioned, he's a better developer with a better coaching staff.

Dabo is arguably the best coach and program builder in CFB. What does this have to do with Manny?
