2023 #1 247 RB Richard Young

This makes sense, and frankly maybe he has figured out that a lot can be accomplished with 8am-6pm. But I wonder about the recruiting as that requires getting in cars and on planes. Barstool won’t recruit everyone for him.

Deion right now has KIDS coming to him recruiting wise.
The Barstools thing is fairly new. Are you forgetting this is actualy PRIME we are talking about, dude is from South Florida with a PIMP type talk game..he can recruit any **** one.
Him living in Dallas so long he is plugged into good kids in that area, he is from sw fla...he can pull florida kids all day...In fact i wont be surprised if he isnt targeting THIS KID who is from his area in this post...Richard Young.

He can always get portal divers to JSU. Look how he just pulled Mark Pope. lol

yea he said he would go from like 7-6pm the latest coaching wise on a need basis. He also has some nfl guys on his coaching staff and they are cool with that type of deal as well.

Listening to that interview let me know his mindset towards it...and just looking back at that interview...it was from got**** July of 2021. So the things he said inthe interview he ended up manifesting.

GREAT INTERVIEW TO WATCH THE MINDSET HE HAS.

DEION MIGHT BE ONE OF THE ONLY FSU GUYS I EVER LIKED. I HATE FSU, HATE THE COWBOYS, YET ALWAYS LIKED THE GUY LOL

I agree but I wouldn’t surprised if stayed for the reasons you gave. I also wouldn’t be surprised if he retired after 3 more seasons
Yea Deion is kind of an enigma.

Dude has it made...he has GOOD MONEY...so he isnt doing it for that...he is in a good space living wise...his kids are adults or in college..i think he only has 1 that is just about to go to college. I think he just likes coaching or mentoring and he can get back into the broadcasting and other endeavors at the drop of a dime easily.

My dude got all that money and a huge estate and his mom dukes just wants to live ina regular house in Fort Myers and play the slots at the casino in immokalee lmao

I had that conversation with one of my best friends who is a FAMU grad from back in the day. He actually got mad at me for stating the truth that HBCU kids were not being drafted.
Below is what I wrote him:

2018: 1 Player
2019: 4 Players
2020: 1 Player (#227) & 1 player signed Free Agent deal
2021: 0 Players
That's 6 Players in 4 years.
During 2020, 29 Players from HBCU's started in the NFL and there are currently 18 players on NFL rosters this season (2021). That's 18 out of 1,696, or 1.1%. If you go with 2020, that's 1.7%.
With that, Travis Hunter will get drafted and may even be a 1st rounder; but chances are that he will not be an early pick cause you won't be able to gauge how good he is due to the talent he is playing against. I'll bet you that he transfers out after a year or two into a D-1 school.
Heck, Deion may not be there for 3 to 4 years. He's getting rolled right now by a 6 - 5 team (S. Carolina State).
Hunter won’t play more than one year there.

Hahaa exactly. I don’t think this is a typical process where a coach is trying to ascend to fbs

Yea Deion loves to mentor, He was taking players under his wing even while still playing.. Did it with Ed reed when he was rocking ugly #37 with Ravens.. lol..

Mentored Hester too, had one of first youtube phenoms come live with him when he was popping kids in high school (Noel Devine), then noel snatched Deion wife whip to go back to North fort meyers lol.. He really been tryna guide these youths on mentor tip.. Probably a 100 other stories we dont know, he had camps Prime prep academy, etc. Dude really gave back and did it in many ways

He signed a bunch of 4 star kids that couldn’t qualify at other schools in the 2021 class who are suppose to be eligible this upcoming season at JSU. Will be a interesting case study on how to build a program, he’s relying heavily on portal right.

Haha, he took that car to the airport and left it there. That family in North Ft. Myers thought they were losing their retirement plan and flew him back home

Eddie Jackson lone reason for not being a 4 + star was that he couldnt get on the field but 1 year in high school. He was a 4+ star in talent level..**** his older brother was as well.
His older bro demar Dorsey?

He absolutely does push his kids at Lehigh up to FSU.

The main reason they got Omarion Cooper last year was because of Coach Chaney.

However, in this recruitment, Richard Young might be too high profile of a recruit to be stashed away for FSU for an entire season, the only way they get Young is if they learn from the Travis Hunter debacle & drop a gigantic NIL deal for RY.

But otherwise, Bama, Clemson, Penn St, LSU, Oh St & UF will all be after him heavy.
Emotionally, I don't know where I am at with your new avatar.

🤔

Pretty sure his youngest is JSU's starting QB. Was named Freshman POY in the SWAC this year.

People like that shouldn't be allowed to coach. Steering kids away from opportunities because of your own personal fandom is crazy. Now if he was to just say I don't want my players going to Miami because I didn't trust Coach Diaz to develop them or whatever, then sure, but strictly steering because it's your favorite schools rival is nuts.
So you wouldn't steer kids towards Miami? You wouldn't tell them Miami is better than fsu or uf? I'm one of the most even-keeled people on here, but even I'd talk up Miami and tell kids it's better. I would tell them to do what they feel, but if asked I'd be honest and say Miami is better in every way. If you wouldn't, you might be on the wrong site. The other thing is that there's a difference between steering a kid away from his only D1 offer and steering him from one big program to another.

Me as a fan? Of course I would. As a coach and mentor for young men, I would do everything to make sure the kids under my tutelage made the best choices for them regardless of if it was my favorite team or not.
