“Gattis sucks!”

At a certain point as a fan base people need to learn what they're watching before we spew whatever. How is it on gattis that Redding dropped 4 balls in the first quarter alone? How is it on gattis that where trying to speed the game up and stretch the field but y'all's golden boy constantly takes his check downs as first options? Put blame on the people who deserve it. Only thinking I would've like to have seen more of is going deeper into the wr room. They weren't making plays and couldn't get open. Y'all's down south stud ladson didn't even show up. All that said Stevenson blew that game for us. He doesn't muff that ball he had no business touching then we win. Borragalles hits atleast one of the two field goals he blew that's another scenario we win. Gattis wasn't our problem at all today & brother you know this game well enough that you should realize that. I'd expect it from vast majority of people on here. Not u though.

EDIT: MY BAD BROTHER. I JUST SAW THE TITLE AND DIDNT READ THE STATEMENT. I ALREADY SAW OUR GENIUS FAN BASE RUNNING WITH THAT ONE & IM DISGUSTED BY IT. I'm glad I actually read it and realized you see it the same way I do. Like gattis is responsible for this stupidity. Like gattis was responsible for game being on the line less than two minutes, moving the ball and two straight holding calls. Like gattis was responsible for special teams not comprehending when a man who is all alone inside the ten yard line fumbles and four of y'all are standing there watching it's atleast two people's responsibility to tackle the ****** lone offensive player so a defender can recover and walk into the end zone to win the game... What infuriates me is in that same spot van dyke throws nothing but check downs not even to the boundary or scrambles for a 4 yard gain before he slides down...

You’re pretty much on target. And you’re right about Tyrique’s muff. That was a game killer.

However: Having been there, I will say that the reasons we are seeing TVD regress as he has, despite the obvious that our receiving core smells like a wet **** on a hot day …. all comes down to 2 things: he doesn’t trust his receivers and he doesn’t trust the offense. (And the former affects the latter).

He’s not the same QB we saw last year, and it’s not because the kid can’t throw a football.

Either way, there’s plenty of blame to go around here. It’s never just “one thing.” TVD, Mario, Gattis, the clowns pretending to be WR’s on this team, etc. I watched the tape from the end zone view, which i like to do so i can read the coverages and go through progressions. The number of times there was literally no one to throw to was appalling.

Edit: a meme for what ails this passing offense ..the throw on the out to Keyshawn Smith late in the third. He runs an excellent stem off a good release and before his break, TVD anticipates and throws a nicwe ball to the catch point. Except the receiver doesn’t bend out of the break and the throw is too short and falls at his feet. Would have been a big gain in an important spot. The point? Even when it works, there’s always something or someone there to ***** it up

I can't wait to see people give more excuses to these ***** *** hoe *** wr & lb recruits that say we need to prove something yet lock onto unproven trash like semenholes & gayturds. What WE HAVE PROVEN is we lack a difference maker at either position. Steed shouldn't ever again in life see a football field he missed so many God dam tackles. Redding dropped like 6 passes & George is just lazy as ****. Execution is one thing while a serious lack of talent is another. On a positive note I'd hope all y'all that have **** on dj for years are able to give him some positive affirmation for once because he played a **** of a game for once.
Ive been waiting on you to come speak some truth. To bad most will skip past and still post whatever non sense narrative they believe. You've been trying to tell us about TVD and the WR room since spring

Yes, because they have better talent than we do.

247 talent composite. Miami: 13th. Michigan: 14th.

I wouldn't normally mock a poster for just blatantly making stuff up like this because you assume it, but given your consistent pretentiousness and toxicity in this thread towards anyone who disagrees with you, I made this account solely to call you out on this BS.

Gattis was shadow demoted and had his playcalling removed in favor of a pistol heavy gap scheme last year. Michigan's offensive rankings per FEI by year:

2018 (pre-Gattis): 15th
2019: 26th
2020: 31st
2021 (shadow demotion Gattis): 5th

Gattis isn't some terrible, incompetent OC who'll tank seasons. But he just ain't it. He won't adjust scheme to fit, he won't stop using insanely slow developing 2 or 3 man routes all game that have a 5% chance of getting open before pressure, he won't adjust his running scheme if it's not working. He's just incredibly mediocre.

People arguing with 247 rankings, I can't... We trash that website day in and day out and now its the end all be all for player evaluation.

I barely bothered to read the rest, people who argue with 247 rankings don't deserve my time.

And I'd suggest you close it again, because you just wasted your time.

Imagine just making a forum account to try and call someone out and failing incredibly. Don't worry, you're not the first one. Keep hitting the books, you might end up being in the 20th percentile of intelligence.

WRs were covered downfield all night long and we never adjusted until the TE drag over the middle in the 4th quarter that went for a huge gain. The “players need to execute better” narrative is exactly what we heard from D’Onofrio and Golden when the defense sucked. Who’s job is it to get the players to execute in this ****** scheme?

Who recruited the ****** players?

Why don't you just answer the question?

That some other coach recruited the ****** players absolves the current staff for their complete lack of preparation and adjustment offensively? If not, then why the **** are you asking the question?
The ****** players who can't run a ******* route fundamentally correct are now supposed to be not at fault. Okay.

And we still moved the ball very well, but nah, that doesn't count.

I know football too and I don’t agree with you. Am I in diapers ? What about Liberty? Jay 20?
No, the big difference is you don't stand on the table and want people to get fired and how we sucked all along.

Listen, if Gattis would have done his job, this Convo wouldn't exist but the vast blame goes to the receivers lack of talent.
