‘That’s crap, just crap.’

These were Mario’s words describing the George penalty.

It’s for sure a terrible mistake from a kid who was in the heat of the moment. He should pay his natural consequences and learn.

You know what else is ‘crap?’

Not emphasizing coaching mistakes as the same ‘crap.’ Being disingenuous with reporters about time management and timeout issues.

Everyone in the world knows the GT game was a wild error. National news! That wasn’t the only egregious error this season. Last year, Mario hired and fired almost an entire staff. Errors, right? Yet, we didn’t hear that tone about his own mistakes.

Why?

The superficial ‘it’s on me’ statements don’t have that same harshness.

Why?

Forgive me if I think leadership is about being harder on yourself than on those you lead. A wise person once told me that’s how you build trust.

Mario’s going to be here for a while. I hope we get better because I’m going to support the program either way. But, so long as we’re ‘getting back to work,’ maybe this is an area we can work on, too. Respectfully.
Bro you hit it on the head!

Can someone describe the last 13 seconds of the game? Youtube cut out early. Everyone just mentions player penalties
Van Dyke launched a Hail Mary to where it was knocked away but Restrepo caught it and was tackled around the 5 yard line, if he didn’t get tackled we would’ve went to overtime or maybe tried a 2 point for the win.

And then it's the arrogant way he treated the reporter who asked him about the timeout. He actually doubled down on his idiotic decision and talked to the reporter like she was the dumb one. "We had to make sure we had the right play called."

Guess what Mario??? It's not worth it in that situation! The guy is so freaking stupid that he truly doesn't understand why people are questioning that timeout! The guy is a clown and everyone can see it.
And the “right play call” was a ***** fade route lmao u dont need to call a timeout for that lazy ****

Pardon me if I don't hold my breath. Mario is what he is. It's not all bad, but his bad is really bad. He's extremely detailed, which is normally a good thing, but the downside of that is he's a really bad micro manager. He doesn't know how to be any other way.
Yep, you're right and that's being selfish and having a savior complex. A great leader has to be able to delegate and trust his people.

I’m sure Mario is plenty hard on himself. The problem is that he only knows one way and his way won’t win here. If he doesn’t realize that, it will be more of the same kind of offense.

Someone online made the observation that when we are on defense, Mario has the headset off. When we’re on offense, the headset is on and he’s engaged. There you have it.
If he doesn't bring an offensive philosophy what does he even do on game day? He needs to look busy because he really has nothing to do. That's why he's forcing us into the slow marioball, it's self preservation. Harder to be a "recruiter" in the NIL era if everyone else has bigger bags, so what does he even do here?

The worst part is that he hasn’t had one successful play out of a wasted timeout for about 9 or 10 weeks now. Last successful play call out of a timeout was during the aTm game. He does this every week. Yesterday he wasted 1 in the 1st half, and the crucial late one that killed any last chance we might have had.

FLY THE BANNERS!!!

Let’s look on the BRIGHT SIDE , it’s basketball season we can switch to coach L till he loses a game and off with his head .

Ohio State ****ed us again giving this career loser legitimacy

To me the timeout was the worst coaching blunder I’ve seen other than the knee

And even though the refs would never call it our defensive front has proven that it can get a safety

If nothing else Brashard Smith is going to give us a really good chance

The timeout penalty sequence and the GT game should be enough to get anyone fired but sadly we will just have to wait and see how we can **** up next year

It was dumb by George. Full stop, no denying it.

But you know what? George cares. He competes. He actually wants to win.

You know what's crap? Taking your foot totally off the accelerator up 21-14 with 3 minutes on the clock, when you have Ville on their heels, and knowing that they get the ball in the 2h.

You know what's crap? Going 0-fer in QB recruiting in the portal and HS.

You know what's crap? Whiffing on everyone at DT.

You know what's crap? The OL recruiting class for '24.

You know what's looking like absolute horse****? Our roster for '24.

Bro I wish I had some of you guys next to me when we watch these games. I get so ****ed off from the stupid **** that Mario does to following where James Williams is on the field and watch Corey Flagg try and make a play to how Mark Fletcher ***** up. It’s infuriating.

That's really disingenuous and frankly just dishonest. You make it seem like Bozo the Cristomoron has been this really successful coach here and that anyone who is sick of this goofball stealing money from the university is an impatient fair weathered jerk. Not the case friendo.

I agree 100% with you 🙌🙌🙌.

I’m just expressing how silly we look in what and how we treat our coaches.
Like coach L absolutely the greatest BB coach in the land , but people here are carnivorous and will hate on L you watch .

Me being your friendo is deeply and I know you are also in what we do .

Mario is going to succeed this zi have no doubt he either will here at his home or feed on us like no other if Mario would end up in our division WE WILL SURLY BE FINISHED.

Haha! All good man! Friendo is actually what Anton Chigurh played by Javier Bardem used to say in the movie "No Country for Old Men". You should check it out if you haven't already.

I think hard work matters more in recruiting than it does coaching acumen. some guys are just smart on field coaches and others aren't and hard work isnt gonna solve it. if you dont know what you dont know, you delegate to those who do and dont get in the way. thats why you pay them. its easier to see the results in hard work as a recruiter bc groveling works at some point.
