‘Don’t do anything stupid.’

this is what shocked me....the bolded.

it was almost like he or the defensive staff didnt realize bell goes for 100 every **** game.
Beginning of game, defense looked scared to tackle.. he left our players running in mud.. dude is big and fasssst.. can't believe we just tried to line up and play wit brohm 2 weeks no special coverage to take away main #1 target.. just line up and see wat happens

The line sucked compared to what it should have been tonight. Run blocking isn't rocket science. You either do it, or you don't.
5 lineman to block a screaming 7 or 8 should 100 percent work. lol

Keep in mind none of our tes to me are really good inline blockers whatsoever. So i wouldnt even count them....and a qb not a threat to run....3 yards and a cloud of dust baby...less than that when lbs are screaming downhill on rn blitzes because its painfully obvious what we are about to run and guards cant get to them

Two games in a row where the run game was awful . I don’t want to hear anything more about this being the best OL unit in cfb
It's clearly not, and I don't know why people said as much.

There are people Blaming the entire game on Beck is unfair and its way to easy a scapegoat for these coaches. I refuse to allow Dawson and Cuckobal off that easy.

Them boys got flat out outclassed. Louisville staff was all over all of our tendencies. Every single one . They knew our **** better than we did.

This loss is on the staff. Period. Dawson has no idea when to reel back all that vertical air raid **** and just make it simple for his QB. He will force his BS all game even tho every QB he coaches struggles against 2 high safety looks that roll coverages pre to post snap. Every single QB . Even Cam did. But this dude doesn't adjust. He keeps running routes into heavy coverage with checkdowns 30 yards away from the **** pocket.

We came out punching on second drive, but after beck threw int 1 w waaaayyy to much air and then did it again, that aggressive plan flew out the window.
Inside A gap run is completely exposed now and even our bunch up formations are figured out.

They neutered Bain and DL w cut blocks, holds and quick outs.

The we can be predictable but beat you anyways plan has failed. Again.

It's ok to blame players. They're the ones who play the game. It's not as taboo as this fanbase thinks it is.

I agree. Beck didnt make great decisions tonight (he's on the hook for a few games actually) but again, look at the body of work. We've been in these situations with teams we are far superior to position over position. one bad game....ok. But to have the same gameplan year over year to where us the fans can call the play before it happens is problematic.

During a recent interview, I listened to Dawson say this a couple of times. I argued it’s a really dangerous place from which to base a strategy or ‘fall back on.’

Something about erring on the side of caution and conservatism in football just seems unnatural. It often ends in failure - like prevent defenses.

Sure, Beck had a miserable game tonight. He played tentative on many plays, had errant throws, and struggled with pressure. But, this is who he has shown to be and therefore you have to get ahead of it. The entire design of the offense has to be to err on the side of aggression. Especially when you don’t have a QB who’s going to magically bring you back (maybe the opposite when placed into those situations).

I’m skeptical we’ll make those changes. Hope something unexpected happens. Reality is painful. Latching on to fake hype is worse.

I would argue Beck was WAY TOO AGGRESSIVE…Throwing deep into quadruple coverage when you have 15 EASY in the flat?

Fair.
Having said that we seems to try to make as difficult on ourselves as possible

We got the Fiesta Bowl Vinny version of Beck tonight. There’s no winning with that.
He sucks.
The drop off in performance when he gets pressured is staggering. If he doesn’t have an absolutely clean pocket, he can’t make the simplest throw to save his life. I’d take Mendoza over him any day. I’d even take the freshman from Pitt. He plays scared and has no moxi or intangibles at all. Beck is not going to like the NFL and he’s not going to do well. If he thinks Looserville DL is a hard to handle, he has zero chance in the NFL.

anytime you watch louisville he sticks out like a sore thumb he is 6'2 210-215 and a certified 4.4. This is his third straight 10 catch 100 yard game ina row and all against acc opponents...and other than shallow crosses they arent scheming him open. He is Dk Metcalf....how or why early on we seem to not realize i have no clue...

It’s pretty obvious that the personal matchups didn’t mesh with the play calling/decisions. As an example the first interception would have been a completed pass if it was to Daniels or even Jojo. Why throw a contested ball to a 5’10” guy. Also do we have an intermediate game. Beck was actually incredibly accurate to start the game. But it was all bubble screens or deep shots.

Also it’s pretty obvious the line can’t run block. Two games in a row v
Totally disagree. Toney beat his man and the safety and the LB made a ridiculous play on the ball. He doesn't peel off and run 50 yds downfield Baby Jesus has 200+ yds receiving tonight.

If everything has to be an absolute brawl for each yard due to inept scheme then we have to sometimes force throws. Beck was 0/10. Dawson also 0/10.
Unfortunately this is who he is and Mario gets his **** hard for this kind of offense so it’s here to stay
That’s the main issue. Nothing is easy. A first down requires some obvious pass
