‘Don’t do anything stupid.’

Is this an outlier in an otherwise successful season?

Or is this a highly paid 2023 TVD and this is the slide
No one knows. Vibes are off though. I didn't like on SportsCenter lead-in when the sideline reporter was talking about how Beck had been saying during the week he was gonna write a book about all the people who doubted him. Then played in ****-like fashion. Then threw Lofton under the bus speaking to the press after the game. Sure as **** hope he plays a lot better the rest of the way. I thought the UF game would be his worst; boy was I wrong.

Dawson is my GUY. Not throwing the cape on him for this season. He’s been below his own standard. But as far as the run game goes I can can tell you without a doubt this isn’t his preference.
So once again Mario is shooting himself in the foot with Mirabal calling the run game.

It’s remarkable how many head coaches just can’t get it all together because of whatever personal or ego thing they have going on. Look at Napier. Couldn’t bring himself to hire an OC. Golden with D’Nofrio, Richt as playcaller as well by the way as much as I love him.

These guys sabotage their own success in predictable ways that they could avoid.

At all. Leave him be. It’s a fake account acting tough on the internet…anonymously. Those are the funniest. Let him continue to embarrass himself or delete/create another burner account.
Lol I love when these guys show up without knowing who’s who on here. Has he admitted that he’s a Nole or not yet?

There are people Blaming the entire game on Beck is unfair and its way to easy a scapegoat for these coaches. I refuse to allow Dawson and Cuckobal off that easy.

Them boys got flat out outclassed. Louisville staff was all over all of our tendencies. Every single one . They knew our **** better than we did.

This loss is on the staff. Period. Dawson has no idea when to reel back all that vertical air raid **** and just make it simple for his QB. He will force his BS all game even tho every QB he coaches struggles against 2 high safety looks that roll coverages pre to post snap. Every single QB . Even Cam did. But this dude doesn't adjust. He keeps running routes into heavy coverage with checkdowns 30 yards away from the **** pocket.
Finally someone gets it. Crazy idea that the qb sucks when the scheme sucks and the o line can't block when the other teams knows exactly whats coming and has more tacklers than blockers.

Let's just blame the players though. Oh and even though Dawson is highly overrated and always has been, he'd still be mich better if the head coach either didn’t dictate or ignore the god awful run (I can't even call ot a scheme because no thought goes into it) game.

Totally disagree. Toney beat his man and the safety and the LB made a ridiculous play on the ball. He doesn't peel off and run 50 yds downfield Baby Jesus has 200+ yds receiving tonight.
Agreed. I just tipped my hat to the lb on that play. Amazing int.

Don’t bother with the nonsense. We’re predictable in part BECAUSE we choose a conservative approach (a conscious, fully explained approach about staying on schedule at the expense of ‘riskier’ plays that’d get us off schedule).

Dawson was specifically asked by a reporter about switching to a more conservative approach. His response was that he leans on ‘grind it out’ and ‘don’t make stupid mistakes.’ This aligns with what we see and it isn’t all about run vs pass. There is nothing out of context. We played behind the 8 ball most of the night. No need for weak semantics about predictability vs predictability from a conservative plan of attack.

What you get is what anyone who’s sniffed a football field or at least has two eyes can see: we need to increase our risk tolerance if we’re to avoid reacting to solid opposing coaches.
Was this said in this past weeks presser? I would like to go back and listen.

I would love his behind the scenes views on how you’re supposed to pound a predictable run scheme without a QB who can get you out of a hole in the air, extending plays, or on the ground, ala Cam or someone else with dynamic feet.

It’s a weird match. Take a look at all the ‘stick to the spot’ QBs in the NFL. Goff, Mac Jones, et al. Incredibly varied run games that can keep defenses off balance and provide lots of PA opportunities.

Like I mentioned, weird Jenga game we’ve created. Hopefully, Malachi Toney can save the day like a super hero.
Dawson probably knows he needs to get the **** out of Miami this season and get away from Mario. What's the point in being an OC if you cant call.what you want. If you have Cam Ward it makes sense, but without an ELITE qb, this run game severely habdicaps you which is what we're seeing now.

They just believe they have the horses to stay on schedule. Too much variance causes an anxiety in Mario that’s actually plain to see midgame. Like where he KNOWS the gameplan has to change.

God reading threads like this is so depressing. Besides the few dip****s who blame everything on the players, most fans (even casual) in here get what needs to happen. Football is not hard, and if it seems like it is you're in the wrong profession.

Now Mario isn't in the wrong profession necessarily, he does some things very well (recruits, builds an o-line, etc) but he is a massive, massive liability on gameday.

Mario needs to 100% be a CEO type head coach. He and Mirabal cannot have ANY influence over the offense at all (on gameday), they're destroying what could be a special season and their continued ineptitude will make it extremely hard to bring in elite skill position players, offensive coordinators worth a ****, and money from donors.

Miami will never win anything important until he ***** off and gets his hands out of the cookie jar.

If he literally just said we are going to be aggressive THE ENTIRE GAME no matter what happens, I guarantee it'd lead to better results. Literally if there was a button I could push that said you will never go conservative again, but sometimes it'd bit you in the *** and lead to some nail biting finishes or you'll miss some 4th downs.... I'd push it with a quickness. The other thing about the conservative ***** playcalling is it's not JUST lowering your EPA+WinProbability, it literally ******* sucks **** to watch, makes it harder to keep getting "the horses" that is getting you there in the first place.

Look at the results Last yr vs this year. How many top QBs want to play in last years offense vs this years? How many WRs? How many RBs want to play in this offense at all? Lol what the **** is the point of Pringle+CWH+Lyle even being on this team....

Like thats the ******* problem. Have an aggresive identity ffs. All this mid game bs changing is apart of the ******* problem. Go into the week with a plan. You tell the players it's on them, we're being aggressive. If we fail, its up to the defense to bail us out. But all this changing up just ***** EVERYONE. What players are IN THE GAME thinking we had this aggresive gameplan but now in the 2nd/3rd quarter we are in a shell just playing tight not to lose and not losing confidence themselves? When trailing by 4 feels insurmountable, you're making dog**** decisions.

Mario’s interpretation of aggressiveness is running into a brick wall... over and over again
