‘Don’t do anything stupid.’

Yeah man. That play had me ready to turn the TV off and go straight to sleep. It deflated tf outta me. **** the constant blitzing to start the game, when it was evident from the first few plays they were going to nullify our dline, really ****ed me off. Hetherman did his best. Brohm is a tough out. Hopefully he learned a valuable lesson
Idk if I can make myself rewatch it, but if I do I’ll be curious if Toure seems as bad on a second watch as he did live. Because it seemed downright ******* abysmal.

The blitzing was perplexing. It was clear their gameplan was to get the ball out immediately from the jump, so all we did was lose the numbers game when we brought more than 4.

And then of course we drop Mesidor into coverage on a 3rd down when it was clear before the play he should’ve been taken out.

Dawson is a top 5 college football OC. Have fun when he's gone. He ain't why we lost.
I don’t see it and I don’t think he’s ’bad.’ I’d say slightly above average? You could convince me that his run game is dictated to him. You could pitch me on his ‘grind it out’ (his words) approach coming as a directive.

But, I’m going by what I see. I see a team with a rigid plan and not a ton of counters (literally and figuratively). I see a team that, at least tonight, expected its panicky QB to make plays I’ve never seen him make. He’s not that guy. So far in his career, he needs combo routes and open WRs (and Brock Bowers and crew).

I think Brohm would have done a better job if he switched over to our sideline and utilized our players tonight. At least from what he showed us (again).

There are people Blaming the entire game on Beck is unfair and its way to easy a scapegoat for these coaches. I refuse to allow Dawson and Cuckobal off that easy.

Them boys got flat out outclassed. Louisville staff was all over all of our tendencies. Every single one . They knew our **** better than we did.

This loss is on the staff. Period. Dawson has no idea when to reel back all that vertical air raid **** and just make it simple for his QB. He will force his BS all game even tho every QB he coaches struggles against 2 high safety looks that roll coverages pre to post snap. Every single QB . Even Cam did. But this dude doesn't adjust. He keeps running routes into heavy coverage with checkdowns 30 yards away from the **** pocket.
Yeah, preach brother, Dawson got to go

Ill probably give a healthy rewatch Monday. Ive had enough punishment for 24 hours

It seems to me you’ve played football before. I hope it was more fun, then, than what we watched tonight.

I find it bizarre people don’t want to acknowledge this. When you have defenses loading up to destroy your predictable run game, go ahead and blame the…. OL?
You have 7 offensive guys and like 6+ defenders all crammed into a 6 yard box and run up the middle, uh do people expect our oline to just blow the opposing dline and lbs 6 yards off the ball every single snap? our run scheme quite literally is 'lets create a 10 person dogpile that moves slowly, not give our rb any forward momentum by the time he reaches the LOS, and leaves zero possibility of our RB not contacting someone (either our own olineman or a defender) within a yard or two from the LOS'... Like I don't think I'm even being sarcastic at all.

This is when you know they're all over our tendencies.

Brohm Ran the ball on like 3rd and 12 CAUSE he KNEW Hetherman would line Bain and Mesidor up in the same side. Results? First down. I mean sheesh. Hetherman held it down best he could but whole staff got spanked
That was a great call because we are clearly out flanked to the opposite side of them....and none of our lbs could get top Brown either way speed wise even if they did but both werent a factor.

Brohm has done this to Mario going on 3-4 years and diff coordinators as well.

If it isnt a slot wr........Dawson really aint scheming sh*t open like that.

Heatherman though coached good enough to still win this one. cause he buckled down and i saw him try some stuff that worked.

Dawson if beck is off....mannnnn we only got bubble screens to whomever and hopin 170 pound mali toney n lofton can hold on blocks if mali isnt the screener. Since Mirabala nd Mario is the run game guys tight splits and duo is all we got int he running game honestly... If we came out in wide splits witht he ol an opposing dc may have a stroke.

He will look worse. Good play call by Brohm on the Brown run on 3rd and 10 when he saw #3 & 4 lined up opposite side, but that run wouldn't have gotten a first down if Toure had been in his gap. And on the Bell TD to end that drive, again nice play call scheming him open for the first down against our zone, but Toure should have been able to get him to the ground after he converted the 3rd down.

I know I dont get on the boards as much Lu so im easily forgettable but if you look back at our history we typically agree on the Xs and Os and our expectations of coaches. Yes I played and I coach too.

Football has its Ebbs and flows. Ups and downs. College football is the best. NOWADAYS, Its a chess match between the recruiting meatheads and the Savant playcallers. Sometimes you get both. Sometimes meatheads with all the good players win(Mario) and Sometimes the Savants(Brohm) win.

Lets just hope Mario can pull an Eddy O and talent us to a ship. Cause dude is never going to change or get it

Those were the two that really stood out live. Like holy **** how did Bell score on that play man

just watch on even our short yardage stuff.....any guys coming from the edges almost make the play most of the time as we get into our rugby scrum.

I mean a simple toss one or two times a game as part of his carry load to keep something at bay would help man. Im not a defensive coach whatso ever but i guarantee you they could of gave me a red shirt and the head phones and put me in the booth and i straight off of work from my job couldve called a defensive game plan to keep Louisville in this game. Im confident on that from watching our offense through the years.

That fourth quarter fsu and uf second half werent flukes

It's infuriating.

I'd literally just rather Not allow anyone within 5 yards of our OT (including TEs) ALL GAME than this bs. I guarantee we'd have more success even with the exact same **** run scheme and constant wr screens. **** even without normal wider splits it'd still work better. And if we played in pistol it'd be even better.

Brohm took it to my boy but he rolled with the punches and made some adjustments. Although that 3 Down lineman look with soft quarters coverage on 3rd and long really irks me. He gotta stop that. All in all, im not overly mad at him. Ill give him a C. Brohm works over D coords on the Reg. Brohm gets two weeks? You can bet your *** you aint gone see the same offense as you did prior to the byef

My girlfriend has said for 2 seasons now, “why do we always run the ball right up the middle?” Literally, every game. I get the close splits on OL and getting positive yards and all that. Correct me if I’m wrong, we’ve run two WR sweeps in the last 2 games. Marion got 22 yards against FSWho and Malachi scored a TD tonight.

I’m not saying let’s run Malzahn’s offense, but let’s give the other team something to think about every once in awhile. Agree with @LuCane, why aren’t we the aggressor like other teams try to be with us?

Bro it's all just ****ed.
Fletcher I literally dont think is capable of running outside. Idc what anyone says, Fletcher looks terrible running the ball anytime he gets like 2 yards of separation. That is literally why we NEEDED lyle to step up and be the guy - which he hasn't. He's been imo by far the most disapointing player probably on the entire team aside from maybe Jojo. He's the only hope we really have of having any explosive plays, but we run him up the middle every time and he has shown he sucks **** at it apparently. The staff wont play Pringle and even if they did they'd be running the same **** they are with Lyle except he'd be even worse at it cause he's smaller.
And you obviously can't just go with Fletcher we run up the middle, with Lyle we run off tackle or outside... That'd be even easier for the defense...
