I think Coleman has some amazing capabilities. But Malachi Toney was the better QB in last year's championship game. Coleman was more prone to take off running, which would get him killed in college given his lack thickness (height's not the problem, it's thickness). He was also erratic -- crazy accurate at times, inaccurate others. Kid has all the tools, just needs to keep getting reps.
Dawson's biggest challenge, and this goes with Nickel, too, is how can he make sure his young bucks are put in situations to sling the ball while they await their turn? I've said it before, I think they should farm these guys out to FAU or FIU ... heck FAMU. But if they don't do that, they need to do something else. Maybe they should set up a JV system where our practice squad could play games their first couple of seasons at college, or at least 7x7s and camps like they have in HS? The current system isn't working.
