Yeah, I've never understood this insanity. Williams has about 1.5% better accuracy...about 6 points better on QB rating (due to his 6 long runs)...nearly identical yards-per-completion...TVD has more yardage...and TVD is the clear leader on stringing together consistent passing performances...

And I don't even understand the infatuation with his running. In an entire season, he had 6 "home run" runs. 1. He had a 59 yarder against Western Carolina. That was 59 of his 60 yards. 2. He had a 66 yarder against Texas. That was 75% of his rushing production. His other three runs...

So your alternative is to replace a guy with 2 years at UM with a guy who had 1 year at OU...threw fewer passes...for fewer yards...for fewer TDs...because you are hypothesizing that TVD's 6 consecutive games "mainly against ACC competition" (actually, entirely against ACC competition) might not...
