It really wasnt against Ed...as much as Rumph slipping on field...Ed was just in a bad position at FS....that play doesnt happen if ref gives us a rightful 1st down....if we had reviews back then...we would have won game...and played in a Huge Bowl Game.....

Scott had a Top 3 or 4 arm in UM History....ask my hands....

Not really....Even if KK doesnt get hurt....we wouldn't have been any better....We beat a Good GT team with Joe Hamilton because of Defense....Nate was MVP of that game....what hurt us the most was the ref ******** us outta a 1st down by a yd against Penn St...on a James Jackson run....

We can go on..& on about Garcia & TVD till we're Blue in the face, but what we need MOST is shoring up our OL....It will be alot more critical now....OL has ALWAYS (except 2001) been our Achilles heel...would be nice for that to change for once...and btw...I think Searles is Trash

My #1 Gripe with Butch is...not starting Scott the beginning of 97 onward...

No....Clement got hurt in 97...and Scott took over from then, until the end of his Sr yr in 1998

One thing I love (and often overlooked) about King...is his low INT %.....Love me smart QBs... With TVD & Garcia....i'm kinda okay with them being more Drop-Back...than any Option form....Everytime I see King run (on a designed play) I F ing cringe....I worry when my QB has 20+ designed running...

Bring on TVD vs Garcia competition...Love it... F just handing over the Reigns....

@JeddTheFisch those late 90s teams were some of my favorite...right up there with the 81 team....I only wish the younger CIS/Canes fans could go back in time and see what practices (Not games mind you) were like....You can't even imagine...A F-ing War Zone....

KK had some skills....But in the end...It all worked out...Butch knew what he was doing...If I have a problem with Butch (and I do have many...much to the disbelief of this site)...He more than made up with it in ref to evaluations...recruiting and development...I would have Loved NOTHING more...

Competition breeds Greatness...Summer of 99 Dorsey ate up Greentree & a secondary full of future stars....you knew immediately he'd be the QB in 2000....then KK got hurt...and that was all she wrote....
