Not sure what is being done behind the scenes, but if Rad only interviewed JD, Pollard, Tulo and Manieri, that's an issue in itself. I could be wrong but seems to me the list would be a long one of guys wanting to coach the Miami Hurricanes.

Rad has a chance to energize this program to new heights we have not seen in awhile. How can he possibly sit at the regional earlier this month and think JD is that guy. What am I missing? Hard to believe if this is his choice.

I am taking Tulo off this list and let him hire some top assistants. JD……NO

This is the kind of coach I am hoping we get. Muscara, Brown (Vandy), Cain (A & M). A proven assistant who has been under a top tier HC, ready to take the next step.

Agree. I posted earlier we need a guy like Manieri had at LSU - Nolan Cain - now under Schlossnagle at A & M. I am not on board with keeping JD - feel like we need new blood/ideas. Still can't believe we didn't (at least from anything we have heard) reach out to Brown at Vandy.

Ha - I am definitely not an insider with scoop - just know he was hired by Manieri at LSU and has a reputation of being a great recruiter and a coach players want to play for. Coaching under Manieri and now Schlossnagle has to have big time benefits.

Cain is a massive recruiter and wants to be a HC. Checks a lot of boxes.

Hard to believe with all the quality, young coaches out there we will end up with Manieri? If true one could only hope he gets to hire his own assistants and picks some young guys who can develop and recruit.

Agree. Total fresh start is needed - HC and assistants. Doubt Rad makes any new HC keep the assistants. And no JD for HC - time for new ideas and a coach who is hungry to win and recruits his ba*** off.

Some top notch assistants who IMO should get at least get a call if that is the direction Rad wants to go (hiring an assistant ready to take the next step versus an already Head Coach) Scott Brown - Vandy (obvious) - need top of the line pitching to get to Omaha these days and he would deliver...

Not sure OConnor would leave UVA. McDonnell would leave loserville. Whoever it is we need a high level recruiter and developer something that this program has been lacking for many years

Would be crazy (in a good way) - he definitely coaches with a F U attitude! Dude has stockpiled some talent in Knoxville.
