For what it's worth, D1 baseball projects us as the final host site with UF coming to Coral Gables as the #2 seed. Of course, if this happens, we'd be opposite Vandy according to them.

With Sunday's cancellation, I wonder if Gino now starts Federman Wednesday and puts Garland in the Sunday slot vs FSU? FSU isn't generating much offense lately, but they still have a few guys who can go yard.

I was really encouraged by his start - he deserved better. And he was as calm as I have seen him given the setting and his new role. He obviously worked hard in the offseason, e.g. his changeup was really effective.

In today's update, they have us as a #15 seed hosting UConn (2) UF (3) and VCU (4). And in their commentary they claim we are in good shape, absent stumbling down the stretch.

I wonder how long it has been since neither Miami or FSU was nationally ranked in football AND baseball in the same year - 50 years? The year's not over, but it's very possible it stays as is.

Still not ranked, which is fine by me. Concentrate on one game at a time and take care of business in mid-week games, avoid sweeps and take 6 of the remaining 9 ACC series, and that stuff will take care of itself. Plus, being a young team, if their heads start swelling they're likely to come...
