WR Marquez Ezzard update

Mentioned on the podcast last week that Coach Dugans seemed to be locking in on Ezzard as the fourth wide receiver target and that it was a real possibility he ended up as a Cane.

I spoke to one source close to Ezzard this morning who confirmed that he is very serious about Miami and the Canes even hold a slight edge. One person who is working hard to recruit Ezzard behind-the-scenes is fellow Georgia product and QB commit Jarren Williams. Williams said he feels like there's a "real good" shot for the Canes here and noted that he will already be enrolled at Miami when Ezzard comes down to Coral Gables on January 18th weekend for his visit, so he wants to be in his ear the whole trip.

Quick question Petey, is receiver a set position for him or would they look to see if he’s interested to play that LB/S role since he does play Safety as well as WR? Only asking because he’s 6’1 215 and can probably play at 225 naturally?

This place wasn't the same without you, Pete. We can only use twitter scraps as recruiting info for so long man, don't do that to us again

Love bringing that Georgia pipeline in!

Stocky WR that is also pretty dynamic. Rashawn Scott came to mind when I saw him play.

this is going to be a bully group of wr's. Him and Hightower are grown *** men out there bigger than all of our current wr's now as hs seniors.

I actually just asked Jarren who he thought Ezzard reminded him of and he said Anquan Boldin

Jimbo and Richt want him so that's all that really needs to be said about his potential TBH.

Yea Aldarius wasnt sorry as u say. Just had alot of stuff going on off the field, and didnt dedicate in the off season or s&c. Aldarius never had this kids body though. Kid is pretty put together, and Dugans wont let him slide. As a 4th wr he aint a participation trophy. The wr vs db practices with these freshmen will be bigtime.

*From checking his twitter he plays baseball as well. Put Malik on him

I mean if we are going for a physical WR, why not Dominick Watts?
