Whitfield Still Considering Miami

WR Levonte Whitfield was Miami’s first commitment in the 2013 class before de-committing and switching to Florida State back in the summer. Whitfield is still committed to FSU, but hasn’t closed the door on the recruiting process.

“I mean it’s solid for now, but I’m still taking my visits.”

One visit that he will be taking is to Miami on January 18th.

“I wanna visit to see if that’s where I want to be at. Even though McDonald left, Coach Richardson is still talking to me.”

What sticks out to him about Miami?

“They don’t show any hatred.”

Whitfield participated in this year’s Semper Fidelis game and interacted with one of Miami’s commits.

“I was talking to Ray [Lewis III] at the Semper Fidelis game, but he wasn’t really trying to recruit me since I’m committed somewhere.”

Many have suggested that one of the reasons “Kermit” chose the ‘Noles was because of his cousin Marvin Bracy, who is currently a freshman receiver at
FSU. Whitfield says he didn’t choose Florida State because of Bracy.

“What he does has nothing to do with me. He’s a grown man and I’m a grown man myself so that won’t affect me.”

Earlier in the process, Whitfield made statements saying that Miami was his dream school, and he told me that is still the case. He will be making his final decision on signing day.

I think Golden snatched his scholly anyway.. i remember he said that he didnt hear from our coaches in a long time so thats why he de-committed

I saw an interview of Kermit right after he committed to us. I'm trying to remember where I saw it (the interviewer didn't sound like a 7 year-old girl wearing high heels and a tutu, so I'm pretty sure it wasn't on CaneInsider), but anyway, the interviewer started the video by asking him why he chose Miami. And I **** you not, the very first thing out of his mouth, the number one thing he could think of, the overriding factor, was "Well, I like their colors and stuff like that."

It was then that I knew that this fairy would most likely end up at FSU. There are literally 1 million better reasons to provide for choosing the University of Miami over others schools like Florida State. For the sake of brevity, I will name 5, in no particular order: 1) Tradition; 2)Number of guys in the NFL; 3)Al Golden has a meter-long *****; 4) When it's flaccid; 5) Early playing time. But all this dude could think of was playing dress-up on gameday in pretty colors.

Also, what kind of person refers to themselves to themselves as "Kermit"? I'm not sweating losing this guy. He's faster than balls, but I don't know if he'll turn out to be a great or even a good receiver in college. I think the staff is just keeping him at arms length in case they don't land Coley.

I'm sorry that was funny as ****! And to answer your question about Kermit's name, Kermit the Frog of course... Frog hop pretty f'ing fast lol.

All seriousness this kid should be met with Coral Gables PD as he steps on to campus and they immediately remove and give him a bus ticket to the nearest McDonalds. Then tell him get used to the double arches at FSPoo! Tell him to go there and recruit some good fry cooks! Nothing good can come from this kid visiting on the 18th.

if his hands are bad, he is a specialist at best. no room in this class for a specialist until signing day if
things turn out very badly with the rest of our targets.

Bigtip dude has game changing speed,similiar to roscoe but his comments are f<$# up,he can visit some other time.

That is why I want him. That speed can be used properly with a coach with a brain. He may not be able to catch fastball but as a KR/PR and lined up in the back field, he creates serious mismatches.
