You sure? He had 141 in 10 regular season games last year which is 14 a game. Had 112 carries in 2024 as rb2. He is getting over 10 a game

Sure enough to bet 100 clams, or smackeroos, on being right.

My theory is we are much deeper at RB this year than either of the last 2 years, he proved his worth being fresh down the stretch last year, and the offense is going to be much, much better this year.

He had 23 carries against Stanford last year. Why? Because the game was 14-7 with 3 minutes to go in the 3rd quarter. I anticipate a lot more blowouts, and much heavier rotation in the RB room, especially early in the year. The staff just went through this, they want to play 16+ games this year. There's no reason to give Fletcher 20 carries in games we win by 30 points.

I said 14 not 20. No starting rb is getting 10 carries a game idc how deep a rb room is. Rb2 will probably get 10. Fletcher 14, rb2 10, rb3 6. That’s 30 attempts a game right there. They ran 35 times a game last year and 33 in 2024 so it’s wiggle room for a few more touches

And all you proved was we didn't run DUO a lot in that game as you said. He still was very productive and still ran it up the middle well. If I recall that was right after the SMU game and the media was all over Dawson for just running up the A gap play after play.
Fam I was obviously aware he did miss something in the OSU game or he wouldn't have been pulled. My point is there's not a huge sample size of his mistakes. There's just a couple. This blocking problem is a bit overstated.

Edit....good job pointing out the Fletcher missed block. I was going to bring it up. Fair post.
Again, your argument was that Pringle is the best at a-gap duo. When i presented evidence that duo was hardly ever called for Pringle, you shifted your point to include b-gap runs “up the middle,” which is not what your original point was (“If you do watch the tape what you'll notice very quickly is Pringle is actually our best RB up the A gap running DUO”). If Pringle is running a-gap duo once a game, how does that support your quoted statement above? If Pringle is the best at a-gap duo, wouldn’t Dawson be calling it just as much, if not more often for Pringle than Fletcher, Marty, and Lyle? I agree with you that Pringle is a good running back. The data doesn’t back up the claims you make surrounding that main point. Perhaps you should pull the tape and give us specific examples like I did and the discourse can continue in good faith.

You also state that you’re obviously aware that he did miss something in the OSU game but the post I was responding to asked, “Please post the evidence he couldn't block. Which sack or QB pressure did he give up? Which missed assignment?” So i posted the evidence like you asked. Whether or not I included Fletcher’s missed block against ole miss has no bearing on the evidence related your question.

I think the common denominator we can agree on is, “Pringle is a good running back.” And we should leave it there imo.

So it's a bet?

I got under 168 for the regular season. You got the over.

If he misses a game entirely (aka is ruled out and doesn't take a snap for a whole game), the bet is void and we shake hands.

But if he is available for 12 games, I got under 168, you got over 168. 168 on the head is a push. For $100, payment method of your choice. Deal?

I don’t do internet bets it’s a waste of time. It’s a guaranteed he gets over 10 carries a game. Can’t save him for a postseason that isn’t guaranteed

It's a waste of time? I've been on this site for 12 years. You've been here for longer. I'm a man of my word, are you? I'm willing to vouch that you are. Easy hundo for you, right?

Ok so you want to bet that he only averages 10 carries a game?

Every once in a while, I totally lose my mind and assume I’m talking to real humans on the internet. Frankly, I needed this reminder. So I say thank you, sir. This one’s on me, hand up, I need to be better. Enjoy your evening.

I was just clarifying and trying to help you because it’s a stupid bet lol. Betting a starting rb won’t average more than 10 carries is just ridiculous

@DMoney are u from the hood? Bc u sho know how to make some good Kool-Aid! BIG PAUSE! I’m pumped up doe & u don made me buy in again! BIG PAUSE!

Has anyone met SJ in person lately? UM lists him at 6’2” which unless he had a growth spurt, (possible) he’s closer to 6’0”. I met him last year and 6’0” was the ceiling, maybe 5’11”. Either way, does this dude have brute strength, leverage, great technique to hold up inside? Seems small to me and a risk at OG.
He weighs 300 pounds now and has the reach in his arms of a guy thats 6’4. He is incredibly powerful and maybe the strongest person on the team and plays with incredible leverage. Do I think he’s the answer guard, no and I only say that because we have dudes that look like mountains that we can put out there at guard. But SJ is a player and there’s no two ways about that.

Well that's your opinion, the rest of us know how good Fletcher will be in big games when we lean on him. Saying we need him to do what he did against A&M on a consistent basis is wild work. No we don't need him to rush for 170+ consistently to be successful, as long as he is breaking tackles, hitting the right holes, and continuing to pass block at a high level he will be more then fine..
100% dude, that fool @ShadowSpring is either full ret@rd, or he straight up trolling with his Pringle nonsense. I tried to tell him the other day that if the dude can’t block, he ain’t gonna play. Fletcher is the best running back in the ACC and maybe even the country, anyone who says otherwise again has gone full ret@rd! And you know what Robert Downey jr said about that? Lmao
