We can live with Perry making game mistakes because he needs the live reps to improve. Yes, Brevin was open and I saw it during the game. Rosier would've overthrown him so it's a moot point. We can't get any worse from an offensive standpoint.

I have to question if Perry started since Savannah State if he would be a more seasoned QB. All the shuffling, benching (when Rosier is 100x worse), splitting reps etc defintely took a toll.

I just wonder what Richt and his offensive staff are doing while watching film? Can they not see the what every person sees while watching the game? DB's play 10 yards off of our receivers all the freakin time and we never take advantage of it. It's the most frustrating thing to watch on TV watching a 3rd and 2 and knowing it's going to be a dive instead of a swing pass to get the first down. We throw screen passes to our TE instead of to our WR. Why? We run the same plays out of the same formations evey game and defensive Coordinators must be hoping that CMR never leaves. He makes it too easy for him.

It will more of the same at VT and Pitt. CMR is very stubborn and he believes that there is no reason to change. He'll support this by saying that turnovers cost us each of our losses and not his play calling. It's a valid reason and it will only feed this man's dellusion. We will not get an OC next year but I'm sure we will probably get a new O Line coach so there something to be happy about.

We saw this at the end of CMR at Georgia and it's obvious he did not learn anything from his firing at that program. He's good at recruiting so hopefully he leaves us stocked with talent like he did for Smart a GA.

Obviously an OC, but does it seem like that OC should be in the booth? I keep reading these breakdowns and wondering, is there really nobody upstairs to see this stuff? Is it possible that we're actually seeing the slot wide open and refusing to go there, or is it that until they watch film, Richt isn't seeing it?

I thought Lil Richt was upstairs? Could be mistaken but if he is then that explains it as well.

I don't know, but anybody upstairs should be seeing this stuff.

I guess it doesn't matter. Best case Richt doesn't know because there's nobody upstairs to tell him. In which case he's a fcking moron for not having a guy in the fcking booth. Fck.

"You can build a house with a hammer and a hand saw, but why use those tools when a nail gun and a power saw are readily available?"

Well said; thanks for the work!

Play design is major issue. If you aren’t using motion you are giving away points in college football. If you aren’t using spacing, you are giving away points in college football. You can absolutely score and win games with these dated plays if you execute flawlessly, but why continue to ask your team to do so when there are such easier ways to do so? You can build a house with a hammer and a hand saw, but why use those tools when a nail gun and a power saw are readily available?

The play calling is basic. The number of times we run the same tired concepts on 3rd down makes us extremely predictable. The lack of counters off of our constant plays is coaching malpractice. Without a more diversified system, we are simply handing the advantage we have with south Florida athletes available to us back to our opponents in an act of charity.

Reviewing film and watching my Canes is a labor of love, but the losing streak has simply exposed issues that I have to review and agonize over weekly. It’s time for a change, Canes fans. It is time for the Athletic Director to force change on this program or you will see a dark period that rivals the Golden Age.

And, there's the bottom line. It's why I've basically stopped talking about Xs and Os for the time being. I re-watch the games, but no point in engaging in the same discussion we've been having for the better part of three years.
