UCF C Matt Lee Transfers to Miami

UCF fans are salty about this one.
It’s because despite their success over the last decade, two things have become clear. They have reached their ceiling as a program and are now seeing them decline…and UCF still couldn’t turn the Big 3 into the Big 4 and they never will. They are basically the Montreal Expos of Florida, develop a player, that player then leaves for a better program and moves on.

Well we should be able to run the ball and keep TVD upright. It’s crazy but we do have the slot WRs to do damage in the passing game if the offense was schemed right. Patriots did every year in the first half of Brady’s career.
also the tight ends to complement the passing game and Walton is a good receiver for being built like a lb playing rb

as of now, although he also made it very apparent in his press conference (and by the visitors we've had) that he cares deeply about fixing DT and WR too

still january and still time for him to fix the other two but OL is officially 5x better than last year and arguably the best we've had in a decade now with the additions of lee and cohen
True.

I’m just worried for the number of portal WRs we supposedly passed on and the general lack of interest in our offense from the same kids.

Massive pickup. Got to win in the trenches. What we were running out on the line this year was pathetic. Need a couple of those guys to stay for depth but a few never should see the field again for Miami. **** I think we should still bring in 1 more portal OL if they are good enough. Never stop adding talent.

Yes.

The two deep is looking reeaalllyyyy good. A lot of interchangeable pieces there as well so injuries hopefully won’t handcuff us next season.

LT - Zion Nelson / Francis Mauigoa
LG - Javion Cohen / Anez Cooper
C - Matt Lee / Jakai Clark
RG - Jalen Rivers / Logan Sagapolu
RT - Samson Okunlola / Matthew McCoy

Is Cohen going to come here to play the same position he did at Bama? Have to imagine he was told he’d be a tackle, no? Not sure who’s nipping at his heals

This is like a real OL

I think it will be Guard, he was going to lose his starting job at Bama.

have we ever had a coaching duo more respected for their respective positions that cristobal and mirabal?

clearly it seems like everyone knows if you want to make your "money year" count, come to miami and get developed by the best

+McCoy spent most of his time at LT this season.
+Rivers is coming off of a serious injury and I don’t think will participate in the spring.
+If Nelson wants to play, he’ll have to compete at RG with other folks. Don’t discount how sour some people in the building are with Nelson.
+I’d flip Mauigoa and Okunlola. They’ll both be starting at the latest by the 3rd game of the season. I think it’ll be game 1. Both will be here in the spring. 9-months of weight training is plenty to get physically advanced kids ready to play.
