All you need to know was said in Al's pre-game speech: "Don't rise to the occasion, rely on you're training."

Well when the training is **** you get what we all saw last night. An uninspired, poor coached team that thought they could sleep walk through a week opponent.

Not only that but how on earth can he think that type of nonsense resonates with kids from Liberty City? That's like chinese to them. He is stifling/labotomizing his own players - it's sickening.

I still can't believe he said that. Football is a game of emotion and momentum. Even if training is great.

Are you kidding? FSU is gonna wreck us. Cincy is not a good, deep, or talented team. They just looked like one because they were playing us. FSU is a good, deep, and talented team. Yeah they don't have the Rapist QBing anymore, but their defense is legit. So is their O-line and tailbacks. Our wr's.....man we are a slow team. We look like Penn State in the late 90's and 2000's. FSu's corners will have little trouble sticking our wr's. Their D-line will eat your ***gity O-line up and spit them out. Kaka will struggle to make it out of this game alive.
I'm not projecting here, I expect them to beat us 31-13 or something like that with 7 of our 13 against their second stringers in the late 4th.

I'll say this, as a football coach myself. When Cincinnati goes 4 wide and the WR are stacked, our defense empties its front, putting the CB and HB up on the stack with the safety over top on both side, leaving 5 guys within the box.
If these coaches knew anything about the spread offenses (or any offense for that matter) , which is clear they don't over the years they've been here, QBs have the decision to run Inside Zone (IZ) with the read or WR screens based on the QB simply counting how many guys are in the box. In this case you have 5 guys in the box so its an automatic IZ call. YOU HAVE 5 OLINEMEN ON 5 DEFENSIVE PLAYERS, its a fundamental problem, generally in football you always have an extra guy in the box or at least sniffing the box. When a team play a standard TE 2WR 2RB formation you play a standard 4-3 with the SS sniffing the box.
In the case I'm using, why not have a guy flash in the box then jump out so it make the QB think a little, or you know just add an extra in the box, because football is won based on the run game, stop the run and run the ball well and you'll always give yourself a chance to win. Get these effing losers out of the program and out of football, tell them to go coach grassroots football cause they clearly have no idea what the **** they are doing at this level. There were so many instances where if you just ran Cover 2 man under (which would have been fine all game) was a significantly better option . I'd be completely content if this team had no coaches all year and the kids just coached themselves and called their own plays, it can't get any worse. WEfense, more like the worse defense this program has ever seen for the 5th straight year.

When I heard that I penciled in a loss. He truly doesn't understand the culture most of these kids grow up in.

"The biggest problem is that the defense is built for eleven D'Onofrio's. It is too complex and is not conducive to fast, physical, Miami football. I'm no coach, so this is an honest question for the football guys on the board: Have you ever seen a DC with three play sheets?"

There you have it. Al's defense is especially designed for teams without speed -- you know, NE and midwest teams full of slow big white farm boys. Al and Mark have no idea what to do with speed or talent, but even bigger problem is their disdain for for both. They were both slow and without any talent. That left weight and complex schemes to give them a chance. JJ played Oline as a small dude. He use quickness and ferocity to make up for it. He saw Miami speed as wonderful and the answer to beating huge programs with monster olines and RBs. What he did not do is take a job in MI and try to make fat white kids fast. Al took job in Miami and decide to make fast black kid fat slow white kids.

Any chance Al gets Axed prior to the season ending?
Has Pete been banned from UM players/coaches?
For real....?? We lost to Cincinnati?
For real?

Dallas Crawford is such a BUMB

I disagree, he's giving everything he's got. He's just not good enough to be playing here, just like Fentress last year, but Al is **** bent on him playing ahead of more talented players.

Agree with this. By all accounts, Dallas Crawford is a stand up guy and a great person (on and off the field). However, that doesn't mean you start / play him. I'm sure we have plenty of really good guys on the practice squad too.

I don't have an issue with Crawford playing. But, it's square peg, round hole. When you play a safety lacking the speed that he has lost in space, you're bound for problems. Carter could have been in that spot and also whiffed.

What did anyone expect?

Training camp/practice consisted of off days, ice cream, dance offs, yoga, dodge ball, & ***** machines.

The players reached the apex of their ability based on the training of the coaching staff.

Funny...

You could have copied and pasted this summary for about 40-45 games that Golden has coached @ UM... Verbatim!!!!

Sad Sad Sad...

A Change must be made somewhere....

JC

Same coach every day. And he thinks that is a good thing.

Biggest thing for me all season no matter how good Walton is. He gets way too many carries. 17 carries for yearby was a travesty last night

He is a RB who is being asked to do something he is not very good at. On top of that they interchange him with Bush like they are the same player. Guy is beyond clueless.

Honestly didn't expect anything different, just shocked he said that **** out loud.

I laughed at Dorito fumbling thru his playcards, dude has more playcards than every coach, not just DC but OC also. Incredible. We went from one coach that ran 1 defensive play, man press 2 deep, to a guy who has these guys running the most complex defense that seems to confuse are players more than the offense as they pick us apart with EASE. Every qb looks completely comfortable with what we show on defense but our defensive players are always scrambling. The mark of a terrible system.
