We better win 10 games to keep these kids locked in till NSD 2018

This.

This is why I think Rosier starts. I can't see Richt wasting this momentum by going all in on a freshmen to "build" for the future. We need to win now and maybe work Perry in as the season goes along.

But imagine if Perry or Allison or Weldon start and we still win 10 games? Which is very possible with our schedule

2018 class could be one of the best if not the best class well have ever have, and with better coaching this class could be the one to get us to the acc champion game and the playoffs, I love this kid's film

an offer and recruitment of Samuel Jr..will actually help with Surtain Jr. I love Samuel Jr..just smooth and covers like a glove.

If Richt feels we can win the Coastal with one of the younger guys than no doubt let's roll. It just my guess it's Rosier for some reason. If we win 10 with a freshmen or RS Freshman then good lord watch out college football world.

My dude. Why aren't we hearing more on Surtain and Campbell? I don't wanna hear about no Asante. I want the big boys.

Surtain Jr is not coming man...

And, have you ever seen Asante Samuel play? He's the best pure Cover Corner in the 2018 class.

We only don't have the lead with him because we haven't been recruiting him as much as some of the other CB's.

Dude I will take your word for it but I haven't seen that much hype on Asante like the other big dogs.

I also think we can really get Surtain man. I think the Rumph relationship is too much to ignore and all his boys coming here.

I'm yet to see anyone argue the notion that Asante is the best pure cover corner in 18'. The only reason why he isn't being hyped is because of his height.

I try to understand the whole height argument some posters have on here...If a kid can ball he can ball.

I haven't seen any posters knock Asante either to be honest, he just isn't rated that high for the same reason Bandy wasn't. Evaluators put potential into the ratings some times. Due to his size, he has a less potential of being a lock down corner, or even being drafted high (Mackenzie Alexander).

Can anyone enlighten why staff was so long waiting to go after Samuel? Seems all the people in the know on here says he is the best cover corner.

This is what I was thinking. There are several guys higher than him who have legit interest in us.

My dream WR class would be Mark Pope, Xavier Williams, Brian Hightower, Dee Wiggins, and then, if we were to take 5, either Warren Thompson or one of the Cali guys (Jalen Hall and Amon-Ra St. Brown). The two Cali WRs are big long shots though, so that's more of a pipe dream of mine.

Dreams come true

Ha, that they do. Do you think we have any legit shot with the Cali WRs? I wouldn't think so, but just curious if you've heard anything.

Amon-Ra ain't happening. He's usc'ucla, lsu. Jaelen reached out to us but I'd still say huge long shot. The other four I feel good about. My nephew is actually the only one I'm not sure on.

Say what!?! CIS number 1 insider NEEDS to deliver on Brian... Looping in Nasty to give you some words of encouragement... LOL

Nah. It ain't like that. Um is family to me for life & in some ways the only family I got but nephew needs to make this decision on his own. This is becoming his own man. His life, his future. Trust I do what I can to show him how much he'll love um but it's his choice.

Here's my DB haul for 2018:

S - Gurvan Hall
S - Randy Russell
S - Josh Jobe (if he sticks) or Tyson Campbell

CB/S - Gilbert Frierson
CB - DJ Ivey
CB - Al Blades Jr
CB - Asante Samuel Jr (fight between us & FSU because of delayed interest)

Then, we keep tabs on kids like Tyreke Johnson (long shot), Traquan Butler, Trenell Troutman, Keidron Smith, Marquise Williams, Stanel Garner, Miguel Edwards, Ken Montgomery, Cajuan Smith & others, just in case.

Also, we gotta remember it's February, it's long long ways till Feb 2018, A LOT is going to change in a year & don't fool yourself into thinking we won't have to fight like **** for all that time if we do land a bunch of these kids.

Trust me, Bama, Clemson, FSU, LSU, Oh St & yes even UF are not simply gonna roll over because we got kids committed early.

Not saying we can't beat them on the recruiting trail because I believe we will, just letting y'all know recruiting is Warfare & it's never over til NSD.

Exactly, I get the feel good story but everyone knows that I'm straight up. If we all know that each of the players you listed in the above slots are the cream of the crop in the state. Ain't no way in **** you can just be getting on them. These are the key things we should have learned from since last recruiting cycle. If not we will always be in someones top 5 but never the final selection. And the recruit always says I had a better relationship some place else. Now what I have said is tough to take but people that truly follow recruiting know where I'm coming from.

What are you talking about? Just breath bruh. That's not what they said at all & trust ain't nobody just getting on any of them. What he's saying is were just turning up the heat on Samuel. Anotherwords alot more contact, interest, calls, face to face etc. The kids we want we talk to on a daily.

Well thank God yall know something I don't! Just the type that I'm not gonna ruin his experience or set myself up for disappointment because he may go somewhere else. He deserves all my love & support no matter where he goes. But if you're thinking he's making his choice cause he's scared of a depth chart you ain't got no clue on my nephew. He aint been raised that way.

Great post.. 100% agree on that DB class and I think that is what the staff's DB board looks like as well. Would be the best DB class ever?
