Man, it's already been confirmed that the story about Kirkland being committed to two schools is false... Isn't it time we stop lying about a kid in order to protect these coaches? I mean that story never made much sense... The staff rescinded his scholly because he was committed to two schools then they try to re-offer it? No... UM just wasn't high on Kirkland... Now he's an all-conference perform and w have a lot of question marks in our starting line up... There's no excuse for the staff botching the recruitment of Skai and Kiekland... They wanted a reason not to offer Kirkland and it blew up in their face... And they didn't offer Skai because they thought Ice would do their job and hand MT over to them... Ice had to force MT to even talk to the staff, why would any competent coach out their hopes in signing a player that didn't want to be here... There were rumors the summer prior that he did not want to be here... Stop creating excuses for these coaches and stop lying on these kids... Kirkland wasn't committed to anyone... And no real coach rescinds an offer then re offers it if they found out a kid was playing them... Al just *****ed the entire situation...

Finally somebody said it

Back then who would you take thomas or moore? You gotta pick one, im not saying moore shouldnt be offered but when you have a local 5 star saying he is coming and you are restricted i understand the tactic, they literally didnt know until coley got there and told them whats up, even then the kid kept indications that he was coming, now would you take moore over grace?

No, you don't, and that's why Fat Al sucks at recruiting (and life). He doesn't know what he's doing.

Its called scholarship reduction you have to pick one

It's called making it work. It's called getting rid of worthless players he gave scholarships to in previous years, it's called not signing deadweight in every class, it's called______. There are so many ways we could have offered and gotten Moore. You act like we're the only team who has every had to deal with scholarship reductions. Please.

Sure, Golden, Al[/QUOTE]
Hold up was this the same year we took Josh Witt>Nico Marley and Skai?

If he didn't want to come that still doesn't align with the lie that he committed to two schools... Especially two schools that wasn't high on that said prospect... Anyway like I said, no competent coach rescinds an offer then re-offers it if a prospect pulled a stunt like that... It doesn't make sense...

For PR it does that incident blew up on them, they had to try to make it right that whole reoffering stuff was all PR, like almost all their interviews they do

it wasn't "PR"... It was bad recruiting... They didn't have to rescind anything if they actually were recruiting as oppose to hoping that Ice delivered us his players... They botched that entire recruitment... Hypothetically if Kirkland did pull a stunt like that(not the lie that many on this board continue to spew after D-money confirmed it was false) you continue to recruit your next option and accept their commitment... However, we didn't have a plan B... We didn't even want Kiekland as a plan A...

I agree that it was bad recruiting even if the kid did do that you dont do what they did i agree with that, it smelled like a PR piece to me, they never really wanted the kid he ce them saying stuff to him, dont get me twisted they botched that completely and it blew up in their face and the local papers fed off it, they should have known pulling a stunt like to a big local recruit whos coach is respected by all coaches down here, though it was ices son that went to the papers ****ed off

Why are we acting like the Skai Moore recruitment was the first time we didn't sign/recruit somebody that we should've?

NCAA factored into Moore. he would have had an offer if they werent self-imposing. they only were offering Six & Grace.

How did we have available scholarships for Elder, Griffin, Gilbert, the DT from Virginia, Mufassa and the other DE that we were trying to bring in after signing day? Golden won a raffle?
