He told them he was coming, kid played the **** out of teams

Regardless, Moore was a take from jump street.

Back then who would you take thomas or moore? You gotta pick one, im not saying moore shouldnt be offered but when you have a local 5 star saying he is coming and you are restricted i understand the tactic, they literally didnt know until coley got there and told them whats up, even then the kid kept indications that he was coming, now would you take moore over grace?

No, you don't, and that's why Fat Al sucks at recruiting (and life). He doesn't know what he's doing.

Its called scholarship reduction you have to pick one

You don't HAVE to pick one. No one ever wrote it in stone that you can only take X linebackers per class. No one ever wrote it in stone that of those linebackers, only 2 could be from the ******* cradle of linebackers that is South Florida high school. And by the way, this is the same staff that insists on running a ******* 3-4, making having a ton of linebackers a HUGE priority.

It's called making it work. It's called getting rid of worthless players he gave scholarships to in previous years, it's called not signing deadweight in every class, it's called______. There are so many ways we could have offered and gotten Moore. You act like we're the only team who has every had to deal with scholarship reductions. Please.

you offer both and if both commit you push one out. it's what ever major program does.

We arent in the position to do that, we arent at the top, the local coaches would kill us, either way its a lose

can you explain then how we hard 4 backs committed last year and pushed out two (cronkite and williams)? why couldn't we of done that with moore and thomas?

lmao no it's not. every year is the same unless the NCAA changes recruiting rules. You should be a politician. you have no answer and you completely deflected. they could of done the same thing but just didn't for whatever stupid reason. my guess is in overconfidence in recruiting ability which is only matched by their overconfidence in coaching ability.

It wasn't scholarship reductions.

They decided to take Grace over Skai Moore as the "undersized" LB in that class.

Our staff has a template of what they want the players to look like ... And Moore didn't fit that look. Especially when they were already taking a "smallish" LB in Grace.

****, they still don't really like what Grace looks like ... But he's making too many plays for them to discount his size.

Whatever happened to all that coach speak of 'getting players here who wanted to be Canes'?

Its the truth, every recruiting year is different in terms of how much scholarships we wish to give up position numbers etc if anyone is dodging its you bringing up random stuff mane

no it's not true. stop making stuff up bc it sounds logical in your head. the only limit is on how many guys are allowed to sign. not to mention we only had two linebackers sign that year. one of which in hindsight should of been an obvious nontake to our coaching staff considering his grades.

i just told you. the restrictions we had were on the amount we could sign not how many we could offer. does anyone even know the truth about how many scholarship reductions we self imposed? bc it seems to be used more of a excuse for the coaching staff not obtaining quality depth through recruiting. they never addressed what the actual number was

every year we changed how many we forfeited hence my comment that every cycle was different when you look at that class in particular it was a small class, hence being picky, no ones mentioning that skai and mat played very similarly, gotta go with the kid with more upside

Can some elementary school teacher please explain to me, why of all the defenses out there Donut's defense is so complicated to the level that kids after 2 years can't grasp it? Or could it be this is another excuse for these bumbling idiot of coaches in Al and Donut. I've never in all my years heard of such buffoonery!
