No Ridley, SBB, Cole, Johnson and Irvin would be a massive failure.

There MAY be more to add to that list.

Coney, D. Davis, C. Davis and Sheppard.

Can't have an elite defense without elite players.

Who knows what this staff could accomplish with better talent?

/with this coaching staff, that is

You can, you just need better coaching and development.

Michigan State doesn't have all this elite talent. They manage to do pretty well without it.

Trob could be cooler then Vince Vaughns character in "Swingers" for all I care but there is but so much he is going to be able to do about UF going 5-6 next year..or worse. I know people will say they pulled a top 10 class last year but remember when we went 5-6 and pulled the #1 class? You can only use the same pitch over and over, meanwhile you are getting stomped every Saturday, before recruits stop believing you. Ask Randy.

When and If Muschamp gets fired obviously whoever they hire will keep Trob but then he will have to sell guys like JJ and Irvin all over again. Meanwhile if Al can get this train going and we go 9-4/10-3, we will have momentum and the "stay home and win it in your city" thing going for us.

Guys like Irvin/JJ/Ridley/SBB/Cole/CDavis I cant take serious until we see what happens after the season. These guys are bandwagon guys like Lane/Rudolph/Cook. I dont blame them mind you..But if we perform well and show a pulse this season, at that point lets revisit these guys and see where they are at.

It's been said for months that JJ had UF in the lead. And now it looks like TROB has been putting in serious work on Irvin.

With these 2 basically out of the picture... Who do u we go hard after @safety?

Who the **** is Burr? Lol. Who said these two were out of the picture? I don't really see Muschamp lasting much longer at Florida so that should help is. As long as Miami has a good season, we should be good to go on all these recruits. No sense to get bent out of shape.

Don't worr about who Burr is

My question has been answered! You're Burr. Pleasure to meet you.

Walton reaches out to a school but is still considered fully committed and just checking all options, Williams reaches out to a school to do the same but is considered a sign of a coming decommitment.... mk

Obviously everything gets revisited in the second "recruiting season" in January, but honestly wins and losses are overrated when it comes to UiF. The difference between us with 9 or 10 wins and a loss to FSU and them with 6 or 7 wins in the SEC isn't much.

TRob is a monster recruiter and these kids care more about him, and playing in the SEC, and the Gators recent track record of relative naitonal success, and scheme of defense then we want to admit.

If you question that, look at how they kicked our *** on the trail last season after going 4-8, losing to us and being nationally humiliated by Charleston Southern (or whatever).

The only way we close those kids is to keep on em hard, and regardless of wins and losses, show that we will put a defense on the field that would be fun to play in. It is entirely possible. I don't know if it will happen, but that is what we have to do.

So, what happened with Golden and Tim Irvin? I mean, I know that last season wasn't the best, and I know you said that T-Rob is recruiting the heck out of him, but that shouldn't result in someone going from "He won't even listen to a coach if his name isn't Al Golden" to "I have said before Tim does not like AG" That's just a big jump.

Pete says Miami isn't worried about JJ, believe that!!

At one point, no one thought Scarlett would be a Cane. Keep that in mind. Just win and recruit hard.

Wow. 6 wins in the SEC is almost equal to 10 wins with our schedule this year? Ok. Whatever you say, Verne Luidquist.

Btw, I know you have probably seen UFs schedule, they are going to barely get 6 wins and get stomped in about 3 games this year. (ALA, LSU,FSU) Ws/Ls meant something to DCook and crew and it will mean something to JJ/Irvin. Trob was cool as **** with Lane and Cook too, remember? Hmmmm..wonder what happened?

These kids dont care about Trob. Revert back to my Cook and Lane example. They will leave him hanging quickly if Muschamp is fired. And if JCarter/Bush/Jenkins/Crawford show that you can be a big time playmaking Safety in this defense all will be well. Coley/Carroll have done it with the WRs. Its a fun offense to play in because Coley and Dorsett were killin it in our scheme. Dno just has to show the same. (not easy mind you. but possible)

Refer back to my comment about our #1 recruiting class after our 5-6 record. That sell is easy. You sell early playing time and the possiblity to be the one to "bring it back". How many years can you use that same speech though before recruits realize your full of ****? Once again..Ask Randy.

Agree with the last sentence.

My buddy is a GA at Florida and he says TRob is a clown and not the closer you guys think he is. There are other top recruiters on the UF staff. What TRob brings is the ability to get into SF homes for UF since he meets the "demographic" requirement.
