Insane clown posse was the ****. Pretty sure the only person out of everyone on here who comes to practices is d money. Feel free to ask his opinion. Maybe he'll back up y'alls facts. Good to know something's just don't change.

Yeah @DMoney, please make this stop.
@Brooklyndee is as legit as it gets.

My take on the QBs is that Perry will have a great shot to win the job. Nobody is running away with it. Shirreffs is inconsistent and doesn't drive the ball, Rosier doesn't have it and Jack (while the best passer by far) still doesn't process as fast as we need him to IMO. If Perry is the real deal, he will have an opportunity to be the guy.

The good news is we have a strong team, so none of the QBs will have to do too much.

Very good assessment my brother. You see I wasn't even trying to debate this one. I didn't even bother to correct them when it was said over & OVER that evan has so much experience because he ran our practice squad... lol. By the way guys, JACK ran our practice squad last year... justsayin.

Didn't apfenny3 say that Evan ran the practice squad?

Brooklyndee do you know what allison's prognosis is for recovery? approximately?

He'll be ready when practice kicks back up

Thanks for the insight, BDee. It is appreciated seeing that Richt and co have locked down the Spring practices/games on us fans like its Ft Knox. So all we have is whatever inside info is provided by people who have real access.

Most of these posters wont give you your due until you come out and tell them who you are and then you wont be able to get them off your dyck. Catch 22.

Pete has said it all along. Richt has alluded to it for a couple months now. They want N'Kosi to come in and be the guy. He's going to have every chance in the world to win the job and I think everyone is prepping for him actually winning the job.

The debate was over your statement that Jack Allison was head and shoulders above the rest and his snaps were being limited merely because of a pre spring depth chart. As if his play on the field would have no bearing on what the coaches would do in term of reps with the 1s in QB battle. It had nothing to do with Evan Shirreffs.

To be clear that wasn't a shot at you brother. It was just something in general. But nah jack ran it. I can think of one week that evan did off the top of my head.

I'm sorry you feel that way but not once did that come out of my mouth. Actually I told yall his snaps weren't limited. The spot they each ran flopped every few days but snaps among those three has pretty evenly been distributed. All of yall kept pushing the third team thing & I said in reality that's now how spring is ran. I said the job is either jack or nkosi & I explained why I FELT that way... anotherwords it's an opinion that you all took issue with. Only fact I issued is jack has looked better than evan. Evan hasn't looked good... If it didn't come across that way my bad. Now I'm done with this. Dmoney just told yall & now it's a different issue so clearly I'm lost here.

Oh I know my friend. No offense taken by me. You know that. We r lucky to have guys like you around here.

I'm sure I just mis-remembered what Austin said in his QA thread.

Yeah. Jack has an understanding of the offense. Makes quick decisive reads. Throws the ball accurately with zip on it. He is head and shoulders above the options their now. It's a shame cade is so unprepared cause he should've been the dark horse in this race between jack & nkosi.

why was Jack running with the 3rd team?

Because it's spring. Depth chart in the beginning of spring has nothing to do with production or thought on where they eventually play. Right has told yall that last year. Line up is based off of off season factors (academics,Matt drills, weight room, film study etc.) It's nothing but a feeling out process. Only different if we already had a set sterter.

Thats how the depth chart is usually set up in the first few practices. Spring is almost over and allison was still 3rd team. If dude is looking that good why wouldnt richt give him reps with a better unit to see what he can do?

Im not saying dee is right or wrong, but to be fair - Allison was only third til the first scrimmage, and got hurt during it.

I can see where off season effort solidifies your spot through the first scrimmage. Jack never got a chance to rebound after that.

Come on, man. Mark fcking Rick ain't keeping a QB depth chart based on mat drills or to keep the fans from imploding.

Jack ran it this past season, Evan ran it in 2015, Malik in 2014

So Brooklyndee does Jack look like a difference maker? It's clear Evan and Malik don't in your opinion.

No. Peter was telling everyone that. He felt so strongly about how far behind Allison was that he stated in an interview that Allison getting hurt in the scrimmage didn't mean all that much. Ariz said that he wasn't getting the same number of reps with the 1s as Rosier and Shirreffs. Your argument would be with him. Everyone is simply giving you what he gave us and WQAM.

Well ****...

Initially, I thought Jack or NKosi would be the starter back in February, then as Spring camp took place it seemed like Shirreffs or Rosier were the leaders.

I never believed in Rosier, I knew he simply didn't have the arm talent to be a starting QB at Miami & I still stand by that.

Then, all of the sudden Shirreffs became "the guy", so I honestly tried to convince myself that he could end up the QB, but the talk of him being just a game manager legit worried me, because I don't trust that can be enough to win tough road games if by chance you happen to get down by a score or two in the 1st half.

Now, it appears as though that a lot of what we were hearing coming from Spring could've just been misdirection.

One thing for certain is, Ima just trust my instincts on this one lol. Idk who the starter will be come September, but I know it better be someone who isn't afraid to make a big time throw down the field in crunch time, cause a simple checkdown artist isn't gonna win us the Coastal.

The bigger problem I have with Rosier is that the playbook is soooo limited with him. Either it's some sorta read-option play or the passing game consists of waggle/bootleg stuff where you cut out half the field. Now you might be able to beat certain teams with that style of attack, you wont be the really good teams on your schedule

This new info of Shirreffs being propped up to keep the fans from imploding truly changes everything. I'm feeling vindicated right about now because I said it was going to be Jack all the way.

I'm still confused as to what the **** blew up this thread. My main curiosity is simply if Perry gets here in May. Anyone that can fill me in, much appreciated.
