Based on Finleys size and speed (or lack thereof for a safety) it wouldnt surprise me if he moves down into the box a bunch or ends up full time at LB as well.

Fair enough and stand corrected. I was going more off of film i saw. But that is elite track speed so i may be wrong.
Idc what any of you elite recruiters on this board think but you cant tell how fast a kid truly is from film. You cant tell how he cuts and whether he loses speed in and out of those cuts but with tapes sped up and slowed down and not knowing how fast a lot of these kids are thwy are playing, you cant not accurately judge speed. Thats why they have testing.

Especially a safety prospect. Most important is angles and tackle form.

That's why I said I stand corrected because I didn't know his track speed previously. You do realize coaches care more about game speed than track speed right? You do realize that coaches watch film for a reason correct? Since you consider yourself an elite recruiter I would go with your opinion over my own though. Lastly, coaches watch thousands of films every cycle, I would like to inform you that a college coach can tell when a film is sped up or slowed down and therefore evaluate it properly. I can promise you they value game film/highlight film way more than they value track times or 40 times. I have coached at the D1 level and worked in recruiting for over 5 years now. I will continue to trust the opinions for coaches over you. Sorry.

By the way if you can get your hands on Finley's game footage, take a look at it. You will understand afterwards why he may be best as a linebacker or in the rover role at the very least. Also taking into account he is 6'1 and listed over 200lbs on every website as a senior in high school.

Im sure you have and do. I know larry scott personally. Remember the guy who stole byrd in less then a couple weeks. Also game speed isnt speed. Its agility cutting ability and multiple other variables including speed. As for trusting your own opinion ho for it. Also most coaches trust live evals most then film and testing numbers coming second if the numbers arent from a live eval. And i never said i was an elite recruiter. I actually dont contribute to this **** storm with info because i dont want to be treated like geo or dmoney when wrong. **** i could do petes job. Commit coming in the next month. Stay tuned

FWIW Josh Jobe was on Campus with Henderson when he committed, Both Henderson and Jobe talked up Bandy but were told although he's a dog, he doesn't fit what they are looking for.

Well...this ends that then. No point in talking about him anymore. His own teammates put in a word for him and were shot down.. Good luck to the kid.

So the staff says 2 LB this class, but people keep saying they think 3. That says everything about what people's opinions are worth. THEY JUST SAID 2, WHY WOULD YOU ASSUME THEY MEANT 3?

The staff didnt say 2, bruh. PETE said 2. They're not the same thing.

Not only that, if a kid blows up that wants to come here, you think the staff is gonna say "no" because we've already filled our "quota"? lmao.

And of course, a lot can change between now and next year. I think a LOT of the current deadweight at LB is gonna be let go, so a class of 3 will be very much in play.

Fair point about Pete vs. staff, and of course things can change. Point is that people come here to get info, then when they do they immediately start contradicting it. Pete may not have a flawless record, but give the guy a little credit. If he says the staff wants 2, then I think we can assume that's what they want. But nooooo...there's always a few who know better. They know that dudes who get paid to coach are wrong to want 2 LB. they know that dudes who get paid to watch 37,003 hrs of film are incorrectly evaluating players. Everybody's a **** expert about everything.

Surprised to read that about Steed.

On Bandy, is he that much smaller than Malek Young or maybe we just are ok with only have 1-2 of those types?

That sounds accurate. Seems they just don't want to have a bunch of undersized DBs in the defensive backfield.

Lol ok he will probably lose a ton of sleep. Lavar his brother is a UM alum. However where you guys will crucify a man for doing a **** of a job in half a year fixing a lot of golden mistakes to then be fired after single handedly keeping a lot of recruits during the transition i will applaud him for being the bigger man and only taking one of our recruits with him. I like what Richt is done and cant blame him for wanting HIS staff but i wont knock Larry for doing his job either. If we wanted Byrd then obviously we should have kept Larry and offered fils aime but we didnt so let it go. If you wanna blame anyone blame the 18 yr old. In the end however its recruiting and your the idiots for setting your self up for it.

When did Larry Scott get fired? From what I gathered, he was offered a position on Richt's staff and chose to leave on his own accord for the same position at another school.

What position and how much money? You just know what you've been told. Not everything is the complete truth. Especially from here.

What about before the overhaul? Still was giving **** info then.
