Pete, no offense, but how is anything gravy when our skill position recruiting has sucked? The WR position went from a strength to a viable ?mark. With the uncertainty at QB next year, not having killers on the outside and slot can spell disaster next year.

Our play calling didn't take advantage of what we had this past year.

We were a wannabe SEC power running team. Emphasis on wannabe.

You gotta start somewhere. We'll be better at it next season and the season after. If you sacrifice a year to please whomever then you're behind 1 year in implementing your system. Run right; run left; go long. That's Miami ball.

That's now what we did.

Up the middle - stopped, up the middle - stopped, run right - stopped. Half the play sequences.

Or, Up the Middle - stopped, holding penalty, run right - stopped, third and fifteen - wide screen incomplete. A quarter of the play sequences.

Nix Part II.

Interesting, considering Kaaya threw the ball 387 times which surpassed the number of rushing attempts by all the running backs combined by 38.

Yes, we did throw. Telegraphed them right and left. Waited until games were in trouble and had to pass, or run - nothing, run-nothing, pass - short of first down because they were coming after him. Recall all the times Kaaya being swarmed by blitzes because it was so obvious?

You don't recall October?

Kaaya threw it more times against Duke, Pittsburgh and NC State(games that in the 2nd half Miami never trailed) than he did against FSU and North Carolina. Threw it 47 times against Pittsburgh and 38 times against NC State. He threw it 38 times against VT. So the numbers didn't just come from throwing because we were in trouble and trying to catch up.

So what happened in November? If you're gonna highlight one month and talk about the negatives why exclude November when Miami scored 38 pts per game. We'll see what happens in the bowl game but this is the highest scoring Miami team since at least 2008. Thats as far was I'm willing to go back. Scoring offense jumped 31 spots from last year. OL injuries somehow improved the OL play and play calling got better. October sucked but Richt didn't beat his head against the wall because he was being stubborn and the offense got better.

I'm sure Holmes has developed since high school, but his senior tape is pedestrian as ****. Pass.

Is it just me..or does he seem like he is jogging everytime he catches the ball instead of sprinting? A guy with 4.4 speed should be utilizing it more often.

Guys who are scared to get hit tend to play slow.

Those were HL's

I'm going to assume that the 40 time he allegedly ran was timed w/ a 1980 Casio wrist stop watch. No way in blue heavens this guy is a 4.4 guy; maybe in quantum leap time, but not in real life.

LMAO- And Franchise is on it too with the SCARED playing slow. I don't care what our depth is, pussies stay out!

is AR15 scaring away top WR prospects. Knowing he was just a frosh could have been another reason Jeudy decided to pass. He only has 1 year with Ridley then he is the guy. He would have 2 years with Richards. Who knows.

Also, would love to get commitments from Herbert and Slaton during their official visits. Would be some nice momentum.
hands down one of the dumbest post on here
No kid 17-19 is thinking like that

Lol at jeudy scared of Richards but chose to go to a school with 100 5 star recievers

I'm not saying Jeudy is scared of Richards, but #1

Man the momentum has come to screeching hault

If they can land the Heritage linemen like I think they will, then the rest is gravy IMO.

I'm still considering McFarland as in the class along Harley and Dean flips too.

If we get Herbert, Slaton, McFarland, Harley, Dean and can get one more WR (hoping for Smith), I'm good and that's a heckuva class!
