I'll believe we land an elite Heritage kid when I see it.

Thanks for the Work as always, Pete.

On Falo, I don't think you turn away from any elite prospect that expresses legitimate interest, but I won't even begin pondering the relevance of a California kid with offers from every major program west of the Mississippi, even if he takes an OV.

I love that this staff is willing to fight it out across the whole country provided they keep reevaluating the amount of resources these kids take up vs. actual interest.

We don't have Bama or taintSO's 963 recruiting support staffs, yet.

I remember a time, I dunno like 3 weeks ago, when The Work was positive. As NSD comes around, it seems like The Work is becoming eerily similar like The Works we used to get once upon a time w Golden at the helm.

It's the annual dead period freakout right now. We got in the game for Jeudy and missed and then everything went radio dark for a month, so the last thing we had to tide us over was bad news followed by no news. And in recruiting, no news is bad news on a message board.

Anybody saying its too late to teach someone how to run routtes is just not thinking. Even not considering the players that switch position while in college, its not like these kids learn everything in high school and their technique just gets refined.
A good example of not learning the game until a high level is Erik Swoope. He literally had never played football until the Colts signed him to their practice squad. and after two yrs of teaching him the game he caught his first TD pass of his life yesterday. Basically if you have the talent and athleticism, you could be worth a take even if you will need to be tought everything

I'm sure Holmes has developed since high school, but his senior tape is pedestrian as ****. Pass.

Is it just me..or does he seem like he is jogging everytime he catches the ball instead of sprinting? A guy with 4.4 speed should be utilizing it more often.

Guys who are scared to get hit tend to play slow.

is AR15 scaring away top WR prospects. Knowing he was just a frosh could have been another reason Jeudy decided to pass. He only has 1 year with Ridley then he is the guy. He would have 2 years with Richards. Who knows.

Also, would love to get commitments from Herbert and Slaton during their official visits. Would be some nice momentum.

I'm pretty sure I saw a video of Falo where he said he was interested in visiting Miami and that was several months ago. I don't mind trying to start a national recruiting footprint especially with how crowded things are getting in Florida. All the top schools recruiting down here and now 2 more top recruiters. Maybe the staff is realizing that out of state athletes want to come here more than the ones form down here.
Leaving home is appealing to a lot of kids. To all the young guys and gals on here, does it seem like recruits are laughed at if they want to come to Miami? Do other recruits say your wasting your talent by coming to Miami. Remember that kid at paradise telling jeudy that even if they paid him he wouldn't come here?
I know we want all of the south Florida talent cause its solid but man we keep loosing out.
On another note, is the lack of an OC and the way we were so conservative in October playing into the hands of other schools. I gathered from a guy that's big into gambling tell me that the reason our over under in total wins was so low was because we didn't hire an OC.

Why? DJ Johnson has the most Division 1 offers of any kid in the nation. We got him.

If there's legit interest with an elite recruit, you kick the tires and see where you're at. Especially when some of these South Florida kids like to play games with the local school. I'll take 4/5 star kids from Cali and Georgia that want to play at Miami. I have no problem with that.

hands down one of the dumbest post on here

Yeah there are some people that escaped their special ed classes to post on here. Suggesting that a south Florida diva wants to be a south Florida diva is not one of the dumbest ideas ever suggested. Maybe the above porster forgot that Miami isn't composed of a bunch of guys who want to compete to be the best in their city anymore, just a bunch of divas and frontrunners.

We are essentially saying the same thing. Yes run it down, but his name is only surfacing in December, there's a lot of ground to make up. We've been on him for months, great, but others probably started way earlier.

We see the same thing in South Florida. Late(r) to the party is a tough pull.

Naw, it's the annual bad news, period. I don't wanna hear about dead periods b/c I get alerts all the time about highly rated kids that are committing to other schools right now during this so-called dead period. That's just a narrative we've been using to justify all of the bad news that's been surrounding this program w it's recruiting the last several years.

The only thing I can possibly assume or want to assume is that Richt is orchestrating behind the scenes commits to come out during national stages (e.g. All Star Games and NSD). No way in the world Richt is crapping the bed this hard. He's 1000x better the recruiter Golden is...well at least I assume so.

Man the momentum has come to screeching hault

If they can land the Heritage linemen like I think they will, then the rest is gravy IMO.

I'm still considering McFarland as in the class along Harley and Dean flips too.

Pete, no offense, but how is anything gravy when our skill position recruiting has sucked? The WR position went from a strength to a viable ?mark. With the uncertainty at QB next year, not having killers on the outside and slot can spell disaster next year.

Our play calling didn't take advantage of what we had this past year.

We were a wannabe SEC power running team. Emphasis on wannabe.

Congratulations! This is easily the dumbest post I've ever read on a message board.
