Miami faces Virginia this Saturday for the final home game of the season. Let's see what the Cavaliers are all about.

Hey, remember when we were undefeated and ranked #7 in the BCS? That was fun. Then November happened. November in college football is where the big boys play. It's where the contenders and pretenders get sorted out. We've been sorted alright. There's really nothing else to say. Everyone is justifiably pist off right now so let's just get started.

1. Where they are in the standings/rankings:

First, take a look at where UNC is. After we beat them back in October they were 1-5. Now they got more conference wins than we do. Unreal. Anyways, the good news about our next opponent is that they're the worst team in the ACC. The Hoos are winless in conference play and haven't won a game since September 21st. They suck. They haven't scored more than 27 points against an FBS team all year. Meanwhile, their defense has given up at least 35 points in every game except for 1 (Maryland) since the month of October began. Like I said, they suck.

The bad news is that the season's almost over and we're only 3 conference wins better than them. Virginia has also beaten Miami 3 years in a row, which is disgraceful. Now, it's not losing to Duke in football disgraceful, but disgraceful nonetheless. Virginia has had the benefit of a bye week to get ready for us. Before that they lost their previous 2 games by a combined score of 104-24. Their most recent opponent was UNC. Here's what Tar Heel fans are saying about UVA:

From: Tar Heel Blog

Doc Kennedy said:
Well if you wanted a game that had a little of everything from the UNC standpoint, this was it. Carolina hit the scoring superfecta, finding the end zone via rush, pass, kick return, and defensive touchdown. The Tar Heels broke the 200-yard rushing mark as a team for the first time in ages and both a receiver and a running back completed passes. UNC played light out on defense as well, notching two interceptions (including the one returned by Dominique Green for a touchdown) and limited Virginia to just over 300 yards in total offense...

Basically this was UNC's most dominant win of the season and it was without their starting quarterback. At this point I'd settle for preventing them from racking up 500 yards of offense and scoring over 40 points. ****, FAU and Florida (our 1st two opponents) are the only FBS teams that Miami was able to hold below 20 points.

2. What happened the last time Miami played Virginia?

From the Associated Press:

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. -- Michael Rocco threw a 10-yard touchdown pass to Jake McGee with 6 seconds remaining Saturday, and Virginia rallied from a 10-point deficit to stun Miami 41-40.

Rocco threw four touchdown passes and Virginia (4-6, 2-4 Atlantic Coast Conference) won its second in a row after a six-game losing streak. It was the Cavaliers' third straight win against the Hurricanes. The victory kept the Cavaliers' slim bowl hopes alive. Virginia still has to beat North Carolina and Virginia Tech to become bowl eligible.

Miami (5-5, 4-3) lost despite three touchdown passes from Stephen Morris and a brilliant performance by Duke Johnson. The freshman ran for 150 yards, returned a kickoff for a touchdown and threw a TD pass. The victory also cost the Hurricanes control of the Coast Division title race. But in the end, it was Miami's defense that let the Hurricanes down.

Gee, where have I heard that before?

3. Who to be scared of:

Darius Jennings

I wanted to go with Dominique Terrell because he really did kill us last season. However, his stats are way down from what they were a year before. He's played in every game this season too so it's not like he's missed half the season or something. He had 9 catches for 127 yards in last year's game alone, most of which came from him going over the middle on crossing routes. He still has the talent to kill us.

Anyways...Jennings. He is second on Virginia's team in receptions this year with 33 and leads the team in touchdown receptions with 3. He's got the 3rd most receiving yards on the team as well with 301. Last year against Miami he had 7 catches, 2 of which were touchdowns. Here's a film cut up of him from that game last season:

4. Player that will score against us:

Kevin Parks

Parks is basically UVA's entire offense. He leads the team in rushing yards with 796 and has 10 touchdowns to go along with it. He's 2nd on the team in receptions with 34 (1 touchdown) and is tied for 2nd in receiving yards as well with 305. After getting steamrolled on the ground by Duke I don't have much confidence in us stopping anyone. So this guy punching it in for a score seems like a mortal lock. This is some film that somebody cut up from the Miami game last year:

5. Person that will **** you off:

Jake McGee

UVA's tight end Jake McGee is the team's leading receiver with 36 catches on the season with 1 being a touchdown. He's also tied for 2nd on the team in receiving yards with 305. I shouldn't really have to explain to you why he'll **** you off. Just look at the picture above his name. Every catch he makes this Saturday will remind you of how awful we were defensively that day (and still are). Here's him making a sick 1-handed catch along the sideline last month:

6. Some guy:

Eli Harold

Sophomore defensive end Eli Harold is the best pass rusher for the Cavaliers and is one of the best defensive players on Virginia's team. He leads the team in both tackles for loss (11) and sacks (5.5). If anybody is able to get a step on one of our offensive tackles it'll be him. He was also an Army all-american in high school. Here's him making plays in high school against teenagers:

We're not bad enough to lost to this team.

If we lose again FIRE EVERYBODY!

If we lose this one, the meltdown will be kicked to a notch not yet seen. We win this one, god**** it, its a wrap for Al if we lose this one. Not that he would get fired but he loses the team completely if we drop this one.....
