I didn't think it was even the slightest bit possible that Toure could get an extra year. His first game was in 2019. He's been in a college football program for 7 years, played in 5 seasons, played >9 games in 4 seasons. He'll be 24 years old tomorrow.

Today we have Zero additions. And there are zero prospective PROVEN players with any production we are going for at either. And we know we TRIED to get top lbs to visit. We got Bodied there period.
We completely ignored nickel when it was deep. We dragged our feet at QB. The Only Olineman we are after is an OT who has 2 years of bad film. And whole you say we likely land a top DLineman, we haven't yet.
You'd have to be smoking crack to think this was a good portal period for us. There was a LOT of talent available to actually continue upgrading this roster. We didn't get pretty much any of them. We went pretty cheap and slow.
Staff needs to pull a rabbit out of a hat at QB now. Seems like they are 100% reliant on Ty Simpson

How is it so hard for you to understand we already have our Nickel accounted for lol. You say the LB core is the worst unit on the defense, but it's been really solid this season. Heatherman knows what we have in that room. Our center is already on the team as well. We will have Gilbert and hopefully the Georgia kid as our two TE's. Add Lofton too if you want to categorize him as a TE. You're what I like to call a panican lol
Also, I noticed that you are ignoring our retention. That's by far the most important aspect of this process. It's not secret that the staff was expecting lower numbers in the portal this year

The portal is for adding proven upgrades. We got how many? A good WR, a Good Safety, and a solid WR.. that's all we have added. How on earth can you spin that as good enough so far? Certainly a risky *** bet we are making that we will add quality late in the portal at minimum. And QB is by far our biggest need and we missed on everyone lol

As of yesterday, Damon Wilson had a offer I would be surprised we would match. I don't feel good about QB and DE right now. We need Carter and another DT. I don't like our LB situation either. Praying for rabbits out of the hat at several positions right now. I am going to focus on the game now.
We will get our QB, DE, DT and our TE. If Bell decides to leave, we will add that OT. I'm not really sure where you got the assumption that this was going to be a big portal haul lol. Thornton has <200 career snaps at Nickel. And I think you're assuming the plan is him at Nickel. I think the plan much more likely is Poyser or one of the young guys.
And no I'm not melting down. I'm accurately assessing that we completely missed at the most important position in sports. And landed no preview targets that could have significant upgraded out talent level.
I will give positive portal grades at DLineman when we actually add one...

And it's ok to not have a ton of snaps returning at every position…You don't think they looked at a lot of current roster guys when K.Scott wasn't practicing for a month? Between Poyser, Fitz (I prefer him at safety but he's played plenty in the slot this year), Wallace, the redshirt frosh, the incoming frosh, and Thornton. I trust them to come up with a good player there.
