TE coach is a very important hire, tbd on gilbert but thats probably the only position that we have struck out on in the mario era. There’s literally no one in that room that has showed promising qualities to me
I think the last 6 TE recruits out of HS have all been players I really like a lot so not sure I really agree with that statement at all...
We already lost one though in Schott. Another in Riley Williams.. And we seem to never play the young guys. And while I liked Lofton coming out as a versatile role player he's a bit undersized but also now seems too ballooned up... I think the problem has more specifically been with the development and picking who plays than the recruiting side of things. That's where the TE coach pick is gonna be most important.

If you treat this like SMV, it should look different.. Limited spots means we hold more power in a sense... Recruits will have to act accordingly if they want in...

Forgot about scott, i agree with that one even tho its still tbd. I think riley would start here now because of what the room has but im talking about hitting on a high level starter

We could like the prospects all we want, we need to do better there evaluating and developing the room. Its not anything to end the world about but it just makes the te hire very important imo

That is what we need. I haven’t seen him catching passes but he seems pretty coordinated. We will find out in spring if there is anything there.
That would be nice if he could excel as a blocking te

DMoney is the man and i’m sure he heard what he heard…alsways has the goods. But as long as Mensah (and cmc doing weird dumb gamesay ****) doesn’t fall on his face

With the way CMC gets after it and the momentum we have right now?

I’d take OVER 20.5 new hs recruits for an eyeball

We have a need at SDE still, especially if what people like @DMoney keep saying is true with Blount being a DT. If that happens McConathy is at worst like 3rd on SDE depth chart to Lowe and Scroggins…
If he was truly needed there I’m certain the staff would’ve kept him there or urged him to stay at DE.

Was so high on Cole at DE but when he got in the game there was no bend or explosiveness. Has the frame the effort and all, but I like the move based on the limited reps we seen on Saturdays. Hope it works out for him cause he is physical, so I am assuming its basically a blocking role which I am fine with.

You would think interior dl would be a priority . We could lose Scott and Motten , we need another stud or two at DT this class .
Thompson from Boca is a top 10 DT and most think Miami leads for him. we will be fine at DT. There will be 9-10 DTs on the roster somebody will emerge after Scott and moten

Blount is going to play both likely. He doesn’t have the size to be a full time Dt
