Curious to see how the DBs shake out since there are still a ton of names on the board and, with Conrad being looked at as a nickel, only 1 safety (Derek) name there.

Do they take all 3 if Damari, Conrad, and Edwin want in?

Here is the latest on Early Signing Day eve:

- I like Miami for CB Damari Brown (American Heritage) and DB Conrad Hussey (St. Thomas Aquinas). Hussey projects as a nickel CB. I also like Miami for DB Edwin Joseph (Chaminade).

- Miami may add another Portal name at CB if it's the right one, but it is also possible they roll with an extreme infusion of youth and talent. Cormani McClain (CB Lakeland) and Robert Stafford (Eau Gallie) are here in spring.

- I think it's Michigan State for Portal DE Tunmise Adeleye.

- While it has been quiet, I still expect LB Francisco Mauigoa (Wazzu transfer) in this class.

- As reported last week in the Bank, if TE Reid Mikeska (Houston) flips to South Carolina, watch Miami with Oregon transfer TE Moliki Matavao.

- I still believe Miami takes three Portal WRs. Miami is in a good spot with Dont'e Thornton (Oregon transfer). Grant DuBose (Charlotte transfer) is working hard to get a waiver so he can transfer without graduating. As mentioned last week, he already used his one-time transfer. If he gets it, strong chance he joins this class for spring. I would expect Miami to land one more in addition to those two, with the focus on a legit #1.

- I like Miami for Georgia State DT Thomas Gore.

- Miami is still working on Florida commits Jakeem Jackson (Osceola) and Sharif Denson (Bartram Trail) until the buzzer rings.

- The big name to watch is S Derek Williams (Texas commit from NOLA). Texas wants him to sign early. If he pushes his commitment back, Miami will be heavily in play.

Still an unnamed big time WR we're after right?

Love the S.Fla talent coming in if we get all three of Brown, Hussey, and Joseph (Joseph will help with next year's class too). Beating out FSU, PSU, and Bama. Hopefully they all think twice about spending so many resources in S.Fla in the future.

But we'll be dealing with DT depth issues for a while if we don't get 2 big ones in the portal and 2 out of high school. That position is a mess. Jackson leaving is still the worst part of this offseason (unless Gattis stays).
