Quick one today since everyone is working on a big finish.

- Miami is still looking to close on Cam Ward or Will Howard before NSD. Both continue to communicate with Miami. No decision has been made.

- There is optimism for a clean sweep of the Official Visitors this weekend for Miami.

- Miami is still alive and battling for WR Jeremiah Smith.

- DB Zavier Mincey (Daytona Beach) is not a done deal for Miami, as has been speculated, but Miami remains strongly in the mix.

- We are in communication with RB Kevin Riley (Tuscaloosa) after his Alabama visit. I'll know more on that one later.

- I expect RB Chris Wheatley-Humphrey (South Broward) in the class even if we sign Riley and RB Jordan Lyle (STA).

I just don't want to lose sight that we're actually stealing high level recruits from BOTH of our in state rivals on signing day. One of them being a 5* defensive lineman from a team that just went 13-0.

Man I’d love to get Ward to commit before NSD ( think Howard is gone to USC) and doesn’t drag this out looking for more money.He has to know that what he does may reflect on what other players might do ( Smith) which can only help his cause.

I just hope the staff has a backup plan if neither one of Ward or Howard work out.

If the QB is undecided and it was stated that Miami would take the first one to jump in. Are both having doubts about jumping in?

How often does a school get as many as 4 commitment flips in the final couple days leading up to signing day? Is that common even for any of the recruiting powerhouses?

Felt like Oregon probably did that last year but would definitely be a big statement especially taking them all from powerhouse programs
