This will be short but sweet- don’t be surprised if this is a busy week for the Bat Signal. I don’t know when these names are coming off the board, but I like how Miami is trending with all four.

EDGE DeAnthony Lafayette (Orlando) just decommitted from LSU. I would give Miami the edge as the new landing spot.

The Canes are continuing to push for top safeties. The name that has the most juice right now is Top 100 national prospect DB JJ Dunnigan (Manhattan, KS).

I also like Miami’s trend line with recent Penn State decommit DT Isaac Chukwurah (Bear, DE). He had a great visit this weekend.

The last one to watch is Pitt commit Logan Nagle (North NJ). He told me today he was shutting down his recruitment soon and I like where Miami stands. He just finished his second in-season visit.

The Canes will continue to aggressively pursue top-ranked DL. When there is this level of aggression with a set group of elite players, it usually ends with a commitment or two (Hayden Lowe, Justin Scott, Marquis Lightfoot). This will be an ongoing story.

I love the stock up on the defensive line.

We got Lightfoot, Lowe, Blount, Scroggins, Pickett and McConathy.
Do we anticipate losing any to the portal? I hope not. Would like to see more rotations next year too.

What a bunch of clowns posting in here! There’s 15 kids 4 stars or higher in this class. And now you slapdicks are crying about the staff taking 3 star kids? One edge can play in the SEC for LSU but not Miami? Another can play at Penn state and not Miami? Or a safety can play at Clemson or Georgia but not Miami? Looks like we have some plan D E *** posters on here.

How many top 300 kids do we have? You wanna sign 15 too 100 kids you’ll lose 70%. It’s a new day and age in college football. You find kids who are good who wanna be canes. I’m fine with it. The class is fine. I’m more concerned who coaches them.

I’m not saying it should be one way or the other but he’s supposed to be an elite recruiter and he’s had 1 elite class out of 4.

So can we be happy with the process even when it doesn’t present the on field results we want? I think we are able to hold 2 competing thoughts in our brains at once; 1. Our coach has and continues to dramamtically improve the roster quality, and 2. Our coach continues to let us down in game.
