The ATM (7/17)

Just some quick notes here:

- Miami has a great chance to land WR Somourian Wingo (St. Augustine) when he announces his commit at 2 PM. He is a 16 PPG scorer in basketball and 1K-yard receiver who excelled in front of Miami coaches at camp. Important to note- this would NOT preclude Miami from taking a fourth receiver such as five-star Tristen Keys (Hattiesburg, MS). They will take their swing there.

- If I had to bet, I can see Miami adding at least one more player (if they land Wingo) before the season starts. There are some big-money battles ongoing, and the Canes continue to lurk with guys like S Cortez Redding (Atlanta). He has some big fans in the building.

- My pick for RB Derrek Cooper would be Texas as of today. But just based on what I know and being a recruiting veteran, I'd expect some back and forth before Sunday. I'll let you know if anything changes here.

- One name I continue to hear about on the current team: LB Kellen Wiley Jr. (Seffner, FL). He is one of the biggest size/speed freaks on the team and should contribute Year 1.

Thank you for the update. Wingo would be a great addition to the class. 🤞🏽

I would love Cooper in this class but if he goes elsewhere, Miami will not stop recruiting him and we won’t stop looking for RB talent.

Winning in 2025 will solve a lot of problems.

So did we re-fi before the foreclosure?

Well knowing how this board will react if Cooper doesnt pick the good guys ATM may stand for *** to Mouth.

At this point I'm not getting to excited or upset with any recruits. I'm ready to see this roster on the field and just let things play out assuming we have another season that shows we continue to trend up.

I’m glad the Mas family moved around some money to support us further 🤣

This is some good news right here D money. I got my fingers crossed on Wingo. Need a receiver like him in this class.

D
Someone on here compared wingo to Jeremiah Payton. Can you explain why that is a comp or why it is not

Does anyone have an idea what the 👀s were about from canes recruiting last night?

What's your comp on Wingo?

Good to hear the buzz on KWJ. Safe to say he's in tier 2 of the LBs on the depth chart? We desperately need some guys to push the top LB group and even surpass them if they have hit their ceiling physically and on-field.
