Homer and McFarland as our 2 and 3 will be so fun to watch!

I know some of you all are not going to approve of my message, but Homer is a better back than walton! I admit it, i am not a huge fan of walton. ha
Never been a more criticized 14 TD season in history

I like Homer but to say he's better is just being a little ridiculous at this point

He has over 20 in 2 seasons and that isn't including the 5-7 called back due to penalties

2018 DT is looking bleak too

Why isn't the staff taking 2 or 3 DTs this year

2018 DT - If McIntosh, Norton, and Willis stay for SR year

McIntosh - Ford - Martin

Don't worry.. A

Norton - Willis - Fines

2018 DT - If all 3 leave for NFl (Highly likely)

Ford - Bethel (Maybe moves inside)

Martin - DJ Johsnon (Maybe moves inside) - Fines

Don't worry. All will be Fines

Jenkins is a very talented DT. He's a head case though. Looked better playing for Folden, but he can play.

I disagree Bobby, but this was a hypothetical so the back and forth isn't even really necessary. **** I prefer he not move inside. I do believe that DJackson could easily be 270 or even 280 pounds without much difficulty because again he's 265 right now, and I believe he lost weight during the off season. He's a big kid. His legs are like tree trunks. He doesn't have the skinny lower leg thing like, say, Quan Muhammad. Preferably he will remain on the edge. I raised the question because of all the talk about being young and experienced inside in a couple of years. Best case scenario we don't lose too many interior linemen and get some legit inside help.

Yes. I'm serious that in a pinch we may be forced to play our biggest DE inside. He's actually a little lighter than Chad, but he's also listed as being shorter than Chad. He's currently listed on our team site as 6-3 265 pounds. Again, that would be down the road as in year after next when he may be closer to 270 or 275.

Good luck to Gus and Courtel at Rutgers. I saw a little bit of Rutgers against PSU this year, and they will be standouts if they go there. Good luck to David in the league. I have no doubt he'll be the next star UM TE in the NFL.

Willis will play in the league eventually. Glad that he made the correct decision to stay. As far as DL attrition is concerned, down the road could Demetrius Jackson slide inside if we needed him too?

I have the same feeling about Homer that I had about AR...he is going to be good...really good. That gives us Walton, Choc, Homer, and A-Mac in the back field.
Wait, did you really just ask if D Jackson could slide to the DT spot? Serious?

He is way too light too light to ever be a DT. It's not even close. He isn't even a big DE. If all of them go, we will have to get a JUCO guy. Still, I don't see both McIntosh and Norton leaving. One very well could.

Homer is probably the fastest back we have had since Lamar miller, would be good to see him getting some reps along with the young guns behind Walton.Gray needs to move to receiver or safety. He could be a player there

We really losin' three junior DTs to the draft next year? Really? Naw, man.

We.continue to have uneducated kids...

There is not one player in this entire roster who should declare early.

Njoku is a fool no matter how u slice it. Willis??!?!? LOL he's a back up DT to 2 guys who are decent at best. Mac and Norton will be back for there senior years unless they dominate

Good news...Gus and Jenkins can kick rocks...Homer will be a huge upgrade!

Hopefully we hear soon that Kaaya is going pro...ready for Allison

They are very high on Homer

me too but IF Gus would have stayed healthy, he would have been the headliner this past year & this year. Gus is big, got speed & his confidence is coming. He will be a RS SR & knows to have any chance at the show , he has to show out. I wanna see Homer-I believe he's for real but I tell ya-Gus is poised for a very productive year. I Hope he stays myself.

Courtel leaving doesn't shock me. His body language was terrible and he was in the dog house for his penalties. Got suspended at one point I think

I hear ya & good possibility we close on Concliff from VA. As of now, Echols is still taking a OV here with DJ Johnson so that's 2 BIG *** talents.

On Gus-I personally hope he stays. I believe the dude runs with a purpose this year.

NJOKU PLEASE STAY for another year. The team needs you AND you will be that much closer to your degree AND it's a big TE draft this year.

Njoku is a body Catcher who hasnt proved he can block yet at High consistent level like he needs to in the NFL.

Most draft sites have him behind Jake butt, OJ howard, Jordan leggett, in a loaded TE draft.

Good luck on everyone transferring or going to the NFL early.... Its normal and isnt a big deal, the only way the win/loss total will improve is if Brad Kaaya leaves with David Njoku. So I won't get too excited until we find out what he will decide to do.

Other than that this team is definitely on the rise.... Hopefully we see some new faces at old positions to go along with the top talent we already have and we can start winning the games that decide an 8 win season or a 10 win season.

Which of our backup QBs are you sure will be an upgrade?

I think any of our back ups can at worst get us to 8 wins but Jack Allison and N'kosi Perry are for sure upgrades

Can't say "for sure" on guys who haven't played a snap of college football.

This is why I don't like the new way the NFL does the Draft evaluations for kids. They offer 3 grades- Potential 1st Rounder, Potential 2nd Rounder or Neither. Too many kids get that "Neither" and probably assume they're sitting right outside the 1st two rounds and can move up with a good Combine or Pro Day. I personally like Njoku as a pro but I bet he doesn't go before the 4th round if the supposed Draftniks are even close to right. Hopefully the kid isn't sacrificing a lot of money AND the chance to play with his brother.

Let's bet $100 he goes in the first three rounds. A great pro day and nkoju goes top 50

This is all bad news. We may be high on their replacements but the fact is we need depth still

Njoku is the only real loss IMO

That's too strong Pete. Gus and Courtel would both be losses. Huge losses? No, but from experience and depth perspectives, they are still legit losses.

We will disagree. Don't think they have any effect on W/L total.

Jenkins does effect the loss column when his stupid *** penalties pump life into the opposing teams drives.

The Gus hype has seem to run out of steam.

Nobody who hasn't played yet is a for sure upgrade.
