Retract my statement on Harley. I'm convinced. He definitely made a jump between his soph and junior year.

Get 4-5 of this group of

Quantino Allen
Kevaughn Dingle
Emmanuel Greene
Mike Harley
Rodney Scott

Daewood Davis or Carmoni Green in place of one if someone decide to not come.

Grimes you know the story, I explained it. Hope they don't waste any time.

Jeudy you make room and take him immediately if he wants in. (His upside is higher at CB, me & DMoney have agreed on this)

none of these kids ae even being recruited excepted Harley. Who just got an offer

This thread is a perfect example of why an early signing period might not be a good idea for some teams. I think it's critical to see how these kids develop in their senior years.

Seems like a very bad year in SoFla for WRs.

1. Jerry Jeudy - Everyone knows the story here. Was a must get and Bama got him (hurts the most)

2. Trevon Grimes - From Indiana originally and was always an Ohio St lock

3. Mike Harley - Should be a Cane

4. Kevaughn Dingle - dropped by the Canes, IMO we should've kept him

5a. Leroy Henley - I think we should take a chance on one of Henley or Green (below). But the staff isn't settling and are looking to upgrade the position and I don't blame them. Henley committed to ECU, Green to Illinois

5b. Carmoni Green - see above

If you have three All-Americans at the same position from the same metropolitan area, including the #1 guy nationally, that's a good year IMO. Depth isn't that great but a lot of these smaller names will end up producing in college.

Yea thats true. D$ who do you think will end up producing the most in college out of the Henley, Green, etc. types.?

I think hes talking about overall, we used to seeing 8-10 guys that are recruited nationally, this year there has been really only 4, and i agree with him

Exactly... I also think it shines a light on the recruiting obsession of getting guys early (included in your early signing point). So many kids develop during their senior years and are left out. I can understand the Bamas of the world but there are so many teams losing with 20 commits by October. I recall seeing fiu with lime 18 commits before their coach was fired. Why? Recruit until the bitter end. I wouldn't stop recruiting for a certain class until fall of that said year.

Good question. A lot will depend on system and work ethic. I think Sharrod Johnson from Booker T is really underrated. Carmoni Green and Leroy Henley have strong bodies and good athleticism. Dingle is a good football player despite his lack of speed.

We basically struck out on all of them.

In the staff's eyes, only 3 are UM caliber (Jeudy, Grimes, Harley). And Grimes was all OSU. So technically we struck out on potentially only 1 (Jeudy)

So who do you think we should've landed?
I think we needed 3 to 4 WRs in this class and easily the top 3 guys (holliman, smith and juedy) gave us the finger.

What more do you need to know?

I agree, but this thread is about SoFla WRs not our top targets.

Holloman is smack dab in UGA territory and Smith in LSU. IMO those players are always going to be long shots/ tough pulls.

Jeudy is the only one we struck out on.

Our WR class and DB classes are horrendous.

Agreed at this time. If we would've landed Njoku, Harley, and Jeudy at WR then that would've been an A haul IMO. Without Jeudy we are looking more like a C

Our Safety class is solid. At CB if we can land Edwards and Dean, which it is trending towards, then thats a A or A- DB class

Bandy - Perfect Nickel DB
Edwards - Long Athletic Edge corner
Dean - Same as Edwards, and can possible be an immediate starter
Deejay - think Cyrus Jones type playmaker at CB

Carter - stud and severally under rated. Could be a day 1 starter and prove to be the best Safety out of all our targets
Gibson - Box Safety with tons of potential
Smith - natural S instincts

I like Carmoni Green and Sharod Johnson a lot. I think they will ball out at 'Cuse and Illinois respectively.

I don't think we recruited either to any extent.
