Henderson, Brini, Roberts, Davis.

That's our likely corner class for this cycle?

All these lists are fine and all but I keep hearing brini and every time I read something on him he's a heavy UF lean, and I never see anything with CJ Cotman being mentioned by anyone and he wants to play CB

'17 class is looooaded. Wanna know what's scarier? The '18 crop may be even better...

Think 2018 crop is better. 2017 is nice at DB but 2018 looks more top heavy loaded. 2018 we will get ours at DB again but there will be some who just get away simply due to numbers.

Piggybacking off of my post.

Outside of Davis & Samuels for CBs in 2017. The only who could end up being elite with more coaching to me, looks like Brini and Henderson.(Bandy will be a great nickel for Oklahoma). Marco needs to rebound first for me to lump him in. Henderson has tremendous upside cause he hasn't played the position a lot yet.

Just early on ranking in the tri-county for 2018 and one kid up from Trinity in JAX and the other from North Marion(commit)

CB:
1. Tyson Campbell - American Heritage
2a. Al Blades - St. Thomas Aquinas
2b. Pat Surtain Jr. - American Heritage
3. Asante Samuel Jr. - St. Thomas Aquinas
4.Miguel Edwards - Coconut Creek
5. Benny Sapp Jr - St Thomas Aquinas
6. DJ Ivey - South Dade
7.Marquis Williams - Coconut Creek
8. Irshaad Davis - Norland (younger brother of Carlton Davis, Auburn CB)
9. Detron Holloway - Booker T Washington

There is a kid by the name of Christian Tutt who's at IMG now from Georgia. He would be in that top 3-4 group. (Not lumping him in, due to not originally being from the state)

S:
1a. Josh Jobe
1b. Tyreke Johnson
2. Gilbert Frierson (A lot of upside and ceiling, doesn't get the coaching like Jobe and Johnson do at Columbus & Trinity Christian)
3. Jalen Patterson Nickel/S - North Marion
4. Marlon Pelote LB/S - Chaminade-Madonna
5. Trenell Troutman - Miami Northwestern
6. Randy Russell - Carol City

(Dominick Watt would be in that top three discussion if he plays DB in college)

*** These rankings can still change as more will emerge and these guys are going into their junior years.

Brini being a UF lean is kind of laughable IMO. UF got the jump cause they were on him first but he is a HUGE Canes fan, his cousin also happens to be James King. He will be on campus tomorrow with his family, I wouldn't be shocked if he does commit tomorrow.

Staff has made their DB targets pretty clear being Davis, Henderson and Brini at the top of the list at corner. (No shot at Stanford Samuels). I'm sure they will keep tabs on Marco to see how he comes along.

Well I'm glad to hear that because he's talented, but I think everyone is too focused on south Florida on this board, and by all means I believe we need to be all over dade, Broward, and Palm beach like white on rice in but I feel everyone forgets about central Florida, some of our best players ever were CF guys

you focus on other areas when south florida has a down year at such position, this year we have a ton of DBs we shouldn't be looking anywhere but here

like i said if we have it here we have no reason to leave, especially now with all this momentum we have down here

If you're talking about '18 then I completely agree, but this year seems to be lacking in elite talent, as Geo said, at CB

I'm not Geo, so he can correct me if I'm wrong, but I think he just said 2018 was better.

2017 is still loaded with elite talent at CB. Samuels, Henderson, Brini and Davis can go anywhere in the country, and Wilson will probably end up on that level.

That's basically what I said. Davis and S-Samuels are elite to me. Henderson has tremendous upside, he may not be an elite corner now but the right coaching will have him just right. Brini I like a lot, he's still a little raw in some aspects but he has all the tools. A drop off after those guys..

2018 has more top heavy loaded throughout. After those 4 in 2017, you have Marco who has to rebound and Trajan who's the best nickel(nothing wrong with that, he can be elite there)

McClellion and Leonard are definite sleepers to watch but wouldn't say they are elite.

The ones who really stick out to me in 2018 (The Elite) are Campbell, Jobe, T Johnson, Blades, Frierson, Surtain Jr., and Samuel Jr. After that is the other guys I listed on my list as great to good prospects, we are gonna be letting some guys go that would be takes any other year. It's a numbers game and 2018 is way too loaded at DB.

What's the common trend out of all the DBs I have as elite aside from one of them? They all have great coaching around them between STA, AH, Columbus and Trinity Christian. Not knocking Coral Gables at all, as they've produced some studs, but not at the frequency of the schools listed above. Funniest thing is, Frierson IMO is the most raw of that group, but he can be just as good as them.

Wow at Henderson's highlights. That kid can fly. Refreshing to get more speed in the secondary.

These are guys who may not have ideal measurables, but know how to play. Every year, prospects like this go from South Florida to the MAC to the NFL:

Rennard Bozeman- 5'10, 170 pounds (Boyd Anderson)- Classic South Florida corner- quick, smart and tough. Bozeman is fearless in run support and has very good change of direction skills. Might fit best as a zone corner.

Jr. Season 2017 - Rennard Bozeman highlights - Hudl

Kaory Simmons- 5'9, 160 pounds (Piper)- Pound-for-pound one of the best cover corners in South Florida. Excellent feet and quickness. Will not back down from Jerry Jeudy or any other top WR. Reminds me of Nevin Lawson, who came out of the same school and now plays for the Detroit Lions.

Junior Highlights - Kaory Simmons highlights - Hudl

Josh Turner- 5'11, 175 pounds (American Heritage-Delray)- He gets overshadowed a bit playing with Jarques McClellion, but Turner is a college prospect in his own right. Excellent tackler who plays with suddenness.

JUNIOR YEAR HIGHLIGHTS - Joshua Turner highlights - Hudl

Kobe Green- 5'11, 180 pounds (Deerfield Beach via Coconut Creek)- Physical corner who looks to replace Aaron Robinson and James Pierre. Strong tackler who can play in the box. Could project as a safety.

Junior Highlight - Kobe Green highlights - Hudl

Randall is my dog, not any crazy athletic plays, but very reliable, happy to see him on this list

CJ Henderson's highlights are SICK at RB! I understand he is being recruited at CB but this cat can play RB.

Mattyports: Manny Diaz was at Dwyer today. 2017 CB Cedrick Dort is on Miami's radar; also, the Canes (and everyone) looking at Dwyer's 2018 class
