We have no athletes except Lyle and Toney. Lyle to me when he got rolled up in the ND game, he seemed like he had a high ankle sprain. Those linger all season. So the only one is Toney. There’s no speed on this team lol.

Edit: Uploaded when Lyle got rolled in the first quarter with 8:52 min into the game.

The Truth is - Lyle is not hurt
He was cleared to return in the 2nd half vs ND
He didn't miss any practice time
Cristobal said Lyle could've played vs BCU (1 week later)
Lyle was not on the injury report for FSU and played (5 weeks later)

The real reason Lyle hasn't looked very athletic is because he isn't very athletic. He's not fast. He's just not.

That South Florida run has doomed Lyle into people thinking he's something he's not.

I heard Lyle was driving the weed car with Jojo and markeith, hence the doghouse and lack of PT but I’m sure touchmoney can confirm.

I expect and completely understand this reaction.

You think he's fast because of the South Florida run right? I get that. But can you name another run where Lyle looked fast?

The more we see of Lyle, the more his average speed/athleticism will become clear.

Again, he's not hurt. He'll still hit some big plays here and there. He's just not athlete most think he is

To be fair, a lot of dudes who aren’t fast run 21.6 miles per hour. My four year old does this all the time. Agree totally here.

Alright now lol. I can fully grasp saying he’s overhyped, or he isn’t a #1 back, or he lacks vision etc…
But he’s not fast? Relax, lol. He may not be Trindon Holliday, but the kid is fast.

are you saying long speed or short speed? IDGAF about long speed out of a RB. I care about acceleration/burst.

Wait so Lyle also missed games when he wasn’t hurt?!

WHAT COULD IT BE GUYSM

At least he said ok point taken let’s get back to business

That or he was hurt and Josh Darrow got it wrong and Mario lies through his teeth about injuries every day.

Your theory is that Mario decided to make Lyle RB1 to stay the season. He goes out banged up after 5 carries… but in your theory is cleared to play and healthy and Mario decides to just not give him another carry for over a month including against a bad BCU team…because he’s actually not that good? But then decided to throw Lyle back in during our two toughest opponents since the ND game?

Lyle was practicing 2 days after the ND game. He never missed any practice time.

If he was hurt that bad, wouldn't he have been held out of at least one practice?

So anyone saying "he's still hurt" 5 weeks after an injury that caused him to miss zero practices sounds a lot like an excuse.

My Theory Is - The Messiah Mark Walton has returned. Jordan Lyle is the Second Coming.

I'm not saying Lyle is slow. I'm saying he's not fast. He's got average speed.

He's pretty much average in all aspects - Speed/Athleticism/Size/Power/Elusiveness/Overall Talent

He looks like a mid to high 4.5 guy.

Example - Deuce Vaughn - 4.56 40 & 21.5 MPH

Many times I don't look at who I'm responding to on here. When I sent the previous reply, I didn't know I was replying to you. Had I, I'd have never sent what I did. Let's pretend I didn't, you can go back to regular life on Pluto or wherever the **** it is you spend your time, and I'll **** around here on Earth. Enjoy your morning.

They’re an inferior team by talent, ranking or every other metric. I’m a fan not a player or coach so what I call them has no affect , it’s just a fact. UL was a 14.5 opening underdog. Those tend to be the type of teams we lose to more than anyone else. That’s a problem. Which was the point of my post that you missed.
Boys in Vegas aren't dumb. Unfortunately, the boys in Vegas can't imagine, we would have a punt return for a touchdown stopped, ungodly number of penalties, 4 interceptions, where if our 6 year QB just checks downs, those boys are still running today, oh and stopping a fake field goal, when everyone in the stadium knew it was a fake. Of course, let's not forget the 28 missed tackles, where Bell and Brown, got almost 90% of their yards, after the first contact, and the pic's that never happened. Yeah, I think 11-14 is good, if you have a prepared team.

spot the diff between dawson season 1 to dawson season 3. theres a certain QB that helped flip the narrative big time

THIS. This is what I mean when I say the blueprint is out. I am not emoting and throwing away the season after 1 loss to an "inferior" team.

We have a pattern of storming out the gate , then stagnating, and then regressing as the season wears on.

Multitude of reasons conjoing everytime - tendencies mapped, stubborness, lack of discipline, injuries, lack of depth, morale, etc..

Many other teams get better as the year goes on; I have yet to see Miami do that in a lonnnnng time... MAYBE only example I can straight face that is 2016 with bard kayak.
Agree, we always looked good coming out of the gate, then you get better with more games under your belt. Our M.O., we looked good, go into a bye week, then we start regressing. I am seeing Notre Dame recently, and these boys are balling. How are we getting worst?
