Im disappoint in all the I want cook over yearby talk. Dude just commited to the canes. Gotta show him more respect and love than someone that says miami is in 4th place and have to recruit me harder (cook quote from tito thread).

intredasting. Gonna be a looooooong recruiting year with cook. lol

Yeah, hes going to be this years Matthew THomas. We shall see.

Sony, Cook, and Lane = this year Thomas x3 (just by how much people will hang on to every word they say)

Miami flips one of the best RB's in the country from one of its rivals and people are complaining? What should AG say to Yerby "we want you but you are going to have to wait so we can see what Cook and Sony think"? This is a huge pick up and people should be ecstatic I know I would be if he was going to my team. I just cant believe people are complaining about getting a top 50 player in the country.

Cook's hype has clouded people's judgements.

Anyone underestimating this pickup doesn't realize how great of a back Yearby is.

Cook's family pimped him out in pop warner ball to pay their utilities, apparently. And he'll go to the highest bidder - apparently, Clemson came in strong with an initial offer.

i read an article a few weeks ago where Cook said him and Yearby were trying to flip each other (clemson and FSU) at the time so doesn't sound like they are against playing together at the next level. now with Yearby and Darling working together on Cook you never know...

Who needs Booker T. Washington when we are establishing a pipeline at Miami Central.

The Miami Hurricanes.

Stop. We don't need BTW.

That's idiotic. You want to alienate a top program and an entire section of miami? We need EVERY top school in SFL, especially the ones in inner city miami.

No. We dont. Plenty of schools with talent throughout Dade, Broward, and Palm. I wouldnt purposely alienate BTW...but i wouldnt kiss that *****'s *** either.

Hype is fake. There is nothing fake about Cook.

The disappointment comes from the reality that at least one first round talent RB will be leaving South Florida to play football, a year after another first round talent went to Arkansas. That's discouraging to me.

Yearby, while good, doesn't have the future that those three have IMO. He's a Cane and I'll ride or die with him, but I'm just being honest.

Yeah it crazy the goal of the staff should be to get any two of the three.

The best part about Yearby's commitment is sticking it to FSU. And the positive hype for the program (just like the TE from Texas, even if he never enrolls here, the positive press from it totally overshadowed the signing day disappointments).

His vision is absolutely elite. You have to weigh what you're looking for a bit, but this kid gives up some explosiveness to Cook, no doubt there, but his feet are great, his hips are good, and vision is elite.

We're talking about an NFL RB here, and I hesitate to even whisper the words, but there's some Gore to this kid.

I like Yearby a lot more than this board would lead you to believe. This kid coupled with Sony would be insane...utterly insane.

We landed a good kid with character as well...happy Cane fan right here.

Just got home and saw this. Awesome news! Again, lets be happy for THIS commitment, hope that he is true to his word and SHUTS IT DOWN, and joins AE in recruiting the **** out of S. FL for the next 11 months.

There is no point in worrying about the fates of Sony and Davin at this point. I am fairly confident the staff has a plan in place and will work BOTH of them relentlessly until signing day. I see the conflicitng reports on Cook & Yearby's relationship, and the Sony to UGA rumors. Let it all play out. LOTS of time left.

Another thing is that Yearby has a MUCH MORE influential and prestigious reputation than A. Collins in the Dade/Broward area. He also WILL NOT have his coach pushing him out of S. FL to another school. I just have a TON more confidence that the trio of Darling, AE, and Yearby stick through the whole process (who knows with Rudolph) then I did with Bryant, Kermit, Kearse, and Collins last year.

DMoney what would you do if you're Golden? Let's say Yearby is 4 star and Cook is 5 star. The 4 star is a sure thing, good family, solid kid, no recruiting games, no drama and no signing day surprises. On the other hand, the 5 star kid has some family baggage that can cause headache and maybe even ineligibility issues in the future, like the recruiting game, names favorites while still committed to a school and may end up keeping you hanging till signing day.
Which one you will take first irrespective of the outcome of the recruitment of the other?

Will you say no to Yearby if he wants to commit just because you think Cook is little better? (even though who is better is subject to debate)

I wouldn't put Sony in that class. I dont think he's the type to play games.

not necessarily play games, but I doubt these three make definite decisions until late January early February

Glory: In the last interview on Rivals he said he was planning on committing to a school and focus on football before the start of his senior football season. When I read that I thought hopefully it means committing to Miami.
