Game 4 vs. Georgia Tech - We'll know how the linebackers are then...

These practice and scrimmage summaries are awesome, and also the roster breakdown on the podcast a little while ago. Thanks!

Though Richt has experience against GT, starting one freshman much less 3, is a scary proposition

Scary, but great d-line penetration blows the triple option up! Always. I personally can't wait for the day we no longer have to play that 80's offense.

Great update D Money!

Sounds like the QB position will be pretty scary if Kaaya gets injured this season and/or leaves after this season. Let's hope that someone figures out how to step up pretty soon.

Is this something new?
Losing a starting QB would be an issue at 99 percent of college football programs.

I mean it's not like any of the other linebackers on the roster after are that experienced so it won't matter anyway. Only linebacker who has played in multiple games so far is Mike smith and Jermaine grace. So let the young ins get all the experience they can

Linebacker not getting into dangerous territory depth wise, they already there. DBs too. Injury bug gonna hit sometime during season.
I think we are ok...Pinkney is not that serious..Owen is ok...preventive maintenace...if I were king of the canes ... I would not get him reinjured before Ga Tech...i would continue to let him recover...from what i hear Gordiner has stepped up taking all his reps qith the ones...Mike Smith is also stepping up...today we are a lot deeper at LB than we are at QB..LBs is going to be a trial but i feel we will be okay...Dan Morgan came in as true fresh MLB and did okay...I think Shaq will get better with each game..

Yep if Clemson loses Watson they would have at least 3-4 losses

I think the freshman class at linebacker are capable of playing very well. Time will tell. I'm ready to see how it unfolds

The freshmen are the least of my concerns. I wish we had six of them.

Shaq might already be the best linebacker on the team. He is special.

Was Ryan Mayes able to play in the scrimmage with his arm injury?

Actually,Clemson has the least amount of experienced players returning this year. I think they lose 2-3 with Watson and 4-5 without him. They will not be nearly as good as last year.

How worried should we be about Owens and Pinckney? Are they just being cautious with them?

And is anyone else as jealous of Shaq's dad as I am?

Guy is a diehard fan who will now get to see his son play MLB in two weeks.

Who are the 3 teams beating them with Watson at QB?

Louisville has a chance, as does Fsu. Miami if we make has a chance with our expected coaching improvements and talent

Miami doesn't play Clemson this year, and I'm not sure that a 2 loss team is getting into the ACCCG with that record, so it would have to be a bowl game. They also get Louisville at home so idk if they lose that one. When you have a special player at the college level it makes it an epic fail to lose more than 2 games.

The eye-opener was Travis Homer. He had a long run against the 1s that he broke up the middle and popped outside. Very good speed (best in the RB group) and good toughness for a true freshman. .

Good! Our other rbs are rather pedestrian and we need an infusion of real talent there. I was hopeful that homer could be the guy. Probably too much to ask him to seize the job as a true freshman but maybe next year.

Not saying Clemson is a bad team-they are good but when you lose as many starters as they did you have to wait and see how the new guys will do. The OL only returns 46 starts(Canes have 85 starts). Lets see how well Watson does when on avr his OL has about 9 starts each.

As a team, Clemson only has 12 SR/JR starting so they have to fill the other 10 spots with Soph and Freshmen. Maybe they reload but historically a bunch of Soph and Freshmen running around does not equal success.
