can;t believe you think any of that is impressive.

in those few sacks he has in that "highlight tape"...all he does is go around the defender without doing any pass rushing moves.

there is ZERO pass rushing ability from him and it's on video for you to see.

there is nothing impressive that tyqie mccord has done. ever.

Excited for the season, I hope Yearby is our feature back, not that big on Gus and I also hope we change Coley route type, we need to let Coley win with his feet/routes and I think this would add a BIG dimension to our offense. I'm also eager to see how Brad does when the play breaks down, would not mind to see him practicing the slide technique and picking up some yards. A lot of teams will play us this year without even worrying about the QB coming out the backfield. The biggest question will be The playcalling of the DC and OC. I also hope we are smart enough to use Tyriq McCord properly. He may be better off at DE more so then OLB, dudes a ball player regardless. Lastly, I'm surprised Walton is wearing #1 , I would of saved that # for recruiting purposes.

What has Tyriq Mccord ever done to warrant such hype?

Do you people have eyes? The guy is a stiff with no pass rushing abilities.

Jamies WInston threw a ball right into his hands and the stiff tipped it into the air for a FSU touchdown. It changed the entire game.

Miami's McCord makes ridiculous pick-six vs Gunner Kiel (GIF)

the QB threw the ball right to him

and why are you posting a pic of a sack late in the game when it was obvious passing downs and he wasn't even blocked

does that show me has good pass rushing skills?

show me a play where he uses any type of skill to beat a OT and get a sack.

I can show you where this stiff tips a ball thrown right at him for a FSU touchdown.

So your idiotic statements relating to him not being a good athlete or pass rusher are disproved and your response is because the sacks were on excepted passing downs and because his pick-six was on non-complex coverage? What a jabroni. I guess we might as well discount any sack that anybody has ever gotten on 3rd and long since that's an obvious passing situation. And I must have missed all those pick-six plays that DE/LB players had last year.

And the, "stiff," had to make an athletic play to even get his hands on the ball against FSU but you were too busy trying to suck up to Golden and criticize everybody else on Earth to notice. For somebody who talks about everybody else having low IQ's, you seem to be the bottom of the barrel.

The guy gets sacks but because they aren't the sacks you expect them to be and he showcased bend, speed, burst, and athleticism to get them they don't count. I guess Joey Bosa's sacks against Penn State should be discounted. You are an outright fool.

I'm equally surprised that you continue to pretend to be a Hurricane fan while endlessly trashing nearly every player and trying to pretend that Duke Johnson isn't a great player.

Guarantee he will be in the NFL. NUFF SAID, LOSER.

He's a very good player, not great.

Vs what defenses did he look great?

Not one.

VT this year for starters.

VT this year for starters.

That VT defense was decimated by injuries when we played them and they had a terrible year defensively.

BC dropped 30+ on em the following week.

Also Gus Edwards looked like Jim Brown vs VT as well.

Duke look like an avg back vs good defenses.

Did Duke look like the best RB in the history of Miami vs top teams? Tell me .

While CiS said Duke was a 1st rou nder, NFL teams said no and took him in the third.

Now you're just being deliberately obtuse. You said name a defense he looked good against. I named one.

But if you want to got this route, we can do that. He had over 92 yards from scrimmage in every game this season. He had over 100 yards rushing in 7 games of Duke, GT, VT, FSU, Cincy, North Carolina, and South Carolina. He single handedly won games over his three years at Miami.

You harp on his poor performance against Florida and you passive aggressively make injury jokes about. He's not the best RB in school history. I hope nobody is saying that. But he is top 5. He looked phenomenal against FSU until his ankle broke and he looked excellent against Virginia and VT while at the school and those are quality defenses. How many, as you define it, top defenses did he even play against while here?

RB's weren't going first round at all until this year so that's a foolish and moot point. If fans wanted to delude themselves into thinking that Duke was going to go 1st round when the position isn't the end-all-to-be-all anymore or that he was as good as Gurley, that's on them. He went in the 3rd round as the 6th Rb overall and he is better than Coleman and Yeldon and a push with Abdullah. Before you even go there, Nebraska zeroed in on Duke the whole game while we kindly backed off the line of scrimmage for Abdullah. Abdullah had 54 yards on 17 rushes against McNeese State so one bad performance like that negates a trove of evidence of how good he is otherwise by your way of evaluating things. What's it say about doing poorly against poor defenses?

You seem to clearly have it out for Duke for some odd reason and in this post you're a little more mellow but you've bashing him in most of your posts. He's not the best RB in school history but he is a lot more than just, "good."

If Yearby didn't wear #2 nobody would compare him to Mcgahee, cut that **** out. Lets jus be happy he's put on weight and stop reaching on comparisons

true, the real physical comparison on this team is Gray. Fans remember Willis in his final year, not his first couple years. His first couple years he was a guy just trying to figure it out, and trying to get Portis out of his head.

Duke Johnson has had the look of superstar from high school.
Often you see players make the jump to the next level, whether it's high school to college, or college to the pros, and you wonder, "what the **** happened?"

With Duke, the moment he stepped onto the field at Miami he looked just like his high school film, and his high school footage was spectacular.

It's not going to Pettine long to realize the best player on his team in Cleveland is Duke Johnson.

I said that Yearby looked like a young McGahee in the spring time and I was laughed at. Fact is..he looks like a YOUNG McGahee. Willis was not 6'1 230 ON ANY DAY while at UM. He came in at 200lbs as a freshmen out of Central. He left here at about 220lbs. Again, we are talking strictly body type. Not speed. So yes I agree, Yearby has the body type of a YOUNG willis mcgahee. Lets hope he plays half as good as willis did.

you are still being laughed at. Last time Willis weighted 200 was probably sophmore year of HS. According to 2 sites I checked, he was listed at 215 as a HS senior when he signed his LOI.

HurricaneWarriors.com - Recruiting Classes 2000

Hurricanes Add D.J. Williams To Football Recruiting Class - University of Miami Hurricanes Official Athletic Site

He wsa listed at 224 as a sophmore.

Player Bio: Willis McGahee - University of Miami Hurricanes Official Athletic Site

And yes, he was weighing at 230 at and around the time he was drafted:

ERROR: The requested URL could not be retrieved

Their frames are NOTHING alike. Gus is closer to Willis than Yearby is. Yearby won't be heavier than 210-212 by the time he leaves college, imo.

You are showing your age buddy. First off, when it comes to HS recruiting, you are out of your league here. YOU have to resort to looking **** up online. (you must be under the age of 21) I SAW WILLIS PLAY PERSONALLY at MiaCen and I am telling you he wasn't a pound over 200 his SR year. Now Najeh Davenport was tipping the scales at 225 in HS. He was always big as ****.

But go ahead internet historian, look up your links and paste them here. LOL.

The Quest to Win The Internets

exactly. Congrats, and your prize for winning a meaningless ****ing contest is......,nothing.

Wait a minute, so he went from Warrick Dunn to Willis McGahee? WTF?!?!?!?! You don't get to say that Willis' HS size was inflated without acknowledging that Yearby's is too. I bet that cat was barely 185 last year. He even LOOKED small out there. That was never the case with Willis. All of my recollections of him were that he was a bigger kid who had great speed for his size. I guess maybe their faces look similar, but not in running style or in stature....

Willis ****ing McGahee?! Are you ****ing with me?

These people are so ****ing stupid. So ****ing stupid.
Wth are you talking about? I'm saying from the neck up WITH his helmet on he kinda looks like Willis. The same posters on this **** site keep exaggerating the smallest thing because they love turmoil. man shut up...
From the neck up with a helmet on? This is the single greatest thing I've ever read on here.

broke, this is why you are the hero of the stupid on here.

You realize McGahee played FB as a RS FR right? That should tell you a little something about his size at that stage of his career. You think Yearby would ever in a million years be moved to FB?

How is 4-8 nuts? We went 6-7 last year and lost all of our best players.

Everybody lost good player this is college football not the nfl.

Not sure how that explains how it's "nuts" that a 6-7 team that lost all of its best players would go 4-8.

Because that's how it works in college football. Your best players typically move on, then new best players emerge. It's not the pros. You don't sign them to long-term contracts. EVERY team deals with this.
