The following are statistics from the first scrimmage of Miami's fall camp. Mark Richt read the stats out to media following the scrimmage.

Wait until we play someone else until we judge either unit. I'm excited about both OL & DL this year tbh.

What people should be focusing on is the fact that the 2nd team DL didn't dominate the first team OL. Second team DL is way more competitive than the second team OL.

TFL - are allowed but sacks are basically the coaches guessing whether the Qb would have been dropped.

I was being sarcastic -- you know about Al's horrible idea of how defense should be played, but thanks for the actual criteria used.

You "get a grip" guys are funny. We're all gawking lunatics that hang out on a Canes board all through the off season. We have full threads about some 15 year olds slippers. But talk about the first scrimmage and that's out of bounds. Leave the straw man alone. Ain't no one running around with their hair on fire but I rather talk football than Twitter. And yes, after last year's O line performance, it is fair to raise an eyebrow at the YPC across the board for the RBs. Big deal? No. Still rather talk about it than Travante Valentine or the brilliant stars don't matter discussion.

I do think that 2 sacks each for Bethel and Harris (second team D against first team O) means the DLine is hungry and aggressive. And might mean our first string OL has a lot of work to do.

Even better, they'll have some folks and a scheme to actually work against.
