I think Fox is solid but the athleticism is a concern. He looked a little sluggish against Carol City.
I seen him live play against HML, CC, Norland, and just this week against Jackson n it was bad. MNW has a decent QB that throws a **** of a ball but it is a hard eval bc he has no time.

N heres an insider note Sam Brooks is not sam brooks right now. The knee/leg that was operated on looks significantly smaller than other. Maybe we should listen to Geo305 n try to flip Brown from STA.

Here's what I know.

Bar Milo and George Brown are unusable.

At some point, beggars can't be choosers and you may need to dip to tier three and four players with a wart because what ends up happening when you don't, you end up having to take tier five, six, and seven type players just to fill spots. Please see the end of the Golden Error where we are rummaging through the dumpster behind Pizza Hut for Joe Brown, Terrence Henley, James King, Evan Sherrifs, Malik Curry, et al.

I mean, in hindsight (using 2015 as an example), picking up a guy like Trevon Sands from Southwest (core special teamer) or Kahlil Lewis (wide out) from Miramar, or Fermin Silva (core special teamer and reserve linebacker) wouldn't have been so bad, would it?

Eh; I’m a little skeptical about Richt & his recruiting eye, honestly. I know what clssses he pulled at UGA but he also had some help. Even with that help he made some really dumb moves.

Our biggest needs right now is QB, OL, and DB. Not sure how this will be addressed or salvaged. I don’t see him have an eye for a diamond in the rough, nor do I see his staff having the ability to polish that diamond up.

Have you heard anything on his progress? He looked OK when I saw him, not nearly as dominant as last year but still productive. It usually takes a couple years.

Boateng is really athletic and good mover, always under control. He’s one of my favorites.

The only negative I’d say is that he looks a little smaller in person than his testing numbers. But he’s underdeveloped and can go to a new level physically with college weight program.

How's he underdeveloped at STA? I imagine they have top notch everything?

Brooks may be a 2 year rehab type injury. He is moving in the right direction as he was playing this year. Hopefully, the domination will come back once he redshirts at the U and has the U's excellent medical and therapy programs to continue his rehab.

Dude, you weren’t looking at his leg

Boateng is at Fort Lauderdale High. Here are his senior clips:

My bad...Was thinking next year of the kid Dumervill for some reason. Obv Dumervil will be a national recruit.

Physically he seems to be a "late bloomer" developing physically. His athleticism is worth a take and then immersion into S&C as a redshirt. If he were an EE that would be a big help like the development of Rousseau.

Oh, you’re one of those.

I reposted those pictures several times over the last few months. I am well aware of the “improvements”. I defended Redwine from the board when those numbers were posted. You reposting this is not new information.

Explosiveness and functional training is what matters. Bench press is easily the most overrated lifts in terms of determining performance.
I have been a Professional member of the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) since 1983. I have worked with high school, some collegiate, and one professional player-offensive tackle. Over the many years one thing has really not changed. Studies have shown the most important qualities for a player are desire, speed/athleticism (relative to the position) and strength. Of the three components strength is the most easily developed.

Regarding the numbers posted for certain lifts on the U board are position specific. What is specific for a QB is not what at DT uses or what the DT uses is not what a WR uses, etc. although in certain lifts there is overlap.

On the photos shown of the lifts I do not recall any explosive lifts like power clean, push press or push jerk, etc., being shown. If you have those repost them if you will.

I am approaching 66 years of age and despite some severe injuries from a fall in 2012 where I was airlifted to Jackson Trauma for 7 months of rehab I still train. I an 6-2 and 270 or so have over a 19" arm (cold) and can curl 150 for 10 reps is Very strict form, seated dumbbell simultaneous presses with 100 pound dumbbells 8 reps and can dead lift nearly 500. Haven't being doing a lot of back/leg work as a woman hit me walking my dog and sped off without even seeing if I was OK. I still healing up from that about 3 months ago.

If you doubt me please email me privately and we can meet maybe for something to eat and then I will give a demonstration. By the way I train at home on standard weights and not the Olympic type long 7 foot bars that allows one to lift more. I have never taken rids, etc and I have a $5,000 bet with anyone that I will take any urine, blood, hair analysis (shows use up to 18 months) or polygraph to prove it so.

Not anything from medical professional, just to the naked eye the leg needs serious muscle building. Ive had friends that have torn up there knees and when you go through the surgery there is an obvious size difference but brooks seems exaggerated. Some serious muscle building has to occur to get that leg back to 100%.

We need to offer Boateng, Fox, and Maurice Smith. Stop taking all these extra wide receivers and dbs who are talented. We don't take enough chances on Oline/Dline prospects who aren't ranked highly. Our two commits are looking at their other options right now and we're holding on for dear life instead of recruiting replacements. Regardless of what Kingsley and Tarqauin do, we need Fox, Boateng, and Smith on our roster next year.

What's the opposite of salvaging? Because that's what's gonna happen to this class.

If I was a recruit there is no way I would come to Miami. In fact I hope none of the top recruits come here. Don't want to see Richt ***** there careers up like he is doing Perry, Jordan, Thomas and others.
**** you.

I don’t doubt you one bit. Too many things you wrote had that “air” of knowing. I’ll try to find them. Power clean was there.
I thank you! I would like to see them.

Some people will never be explosive they are more static type lifters than dynamic types- nature of the muscle type. Some changes in the AB fibers can be converted but basically you are one or the other.
A Rousseau or a Garvin has those explosive qualities and if you pack muscle on them with proper training look out!
In the NFL Watt was 225 pound when he entered college now 290 or so and explosive and always was but was restricted at 225 lbs.because of lack of size. There are numerous others like that.
Remember the old U would get LBs and often "grow" them through training into DEs, SDEs into DTs, safeties into LBs. keeping the athleticism.

The offensive line is an interesting problem at the U. Those guys that have been there for at least two years still play with their butts high up often- reducing their explosive ability. Not to mention 2 OL-guys going after one DL guy leaving a DT or DE open to cream the QB or RB (coaching here).
