Salih Altuntas has entered the transfer portal

One of Jai Lucas first international players he recruited to Miami has entered the transfer portal.

The 6-10 forward out of Istanbul, Türkiye saw limited playing time during his tenure at Miami, he played in 32 games.. He finished the season averaging 1.6 points, 1.9 rebounds and 0.1 assists per contest while coming off the bench for the Hurricanes.

Salih was a backup for Miami center Ernest Udeh, where Salih would come in and struggle during college play, just about all year. His best game came against Delaware State earlier on in the season with 13 points, four steals, and 11 rebounds.

Now, he’s exploring his transfer options in the portal, joining Jordyn Kee, John Laboy, Treyvon Maddox, Noam Dorvat, and Tru Washington.

He will do really well in that system. They play more of a Euro style and he can be high post passer and find back cuts and defend/rebound. He's slow afoot, and plays below the rim, but he's got a pretty skilled Euro style game.

Honestly surprised he didn’t go back overseas but that’s a good landing spot for him
