One of Jai Lucas first international players he recruited to Miami has entered the transfer portal.

The 6-10 forward out of Istanbul, Türkiye saw limited playing time during his tenure at Miami, he played in 32 games.. He finished the season averaging 1.6 points, 1.9 rebounds and 0.1 assists per contest while coming off the bench for the Hurricanes.

Salih was a backup for Miami center Ernest Udeh, where Salih would come in and struggle during college play, just about all year. His best game came against Delaware State earlier on in the season with 13 points, four steals, and 11 rebounds.

Now, he’s exploring his transfer options in the portal, joining Jordyn Kee, John Laboy, Treyvon Maddox, Noam Dorvat, and Tru Washington.

Spacious roster remodeling. Have to wonder if we fill out all these slots with non-freshmen. Wouldn’t be surprised if we sign another ‘26 guy.

Only have 4 returning players at this point: Shelton, Dante, Timo, and Marcus Allen. Gaskins is the only recruit signed.

A lot can be done with 8 spots.

Thought he’d be good for locker room vibes but probably wants to get run at a mid major. He wasn’t going to play here

He should’ve never been a Cane. He should be playing low major D1 at best.

Not sure why some are bashing the guy. If nothing else, he was a an extra body for practice. Committed himself and gave the school a year of his life. For that we should be able to show some appreciation.

Good luck to him.

GO CANES!!!
Yes, appreciate him leaving. We don’t give participation trophies. Wake up, these guys are professionals getting paid.
