People will be begging for Kaaya by the end of the FSU game.

"But but Kayak couldn't move and had cement feet. All we need is a guy who isn't a statue."

Brad was very accurate and could have taken this team very far, but I don't think it's that serious. We're in April.. By September, (and FSU) we'll be just fine. No one will be "begging" for Kaaya.

LOL at the ninnies getting worked up on extremely limited and general information, from a coach who's playing it close to the vest, and on the very first scrimmage.

The very first scrimmage, after a week of practice.

Any conclusions or proclamations of "this sucks" or "that's great" or "we're in trouble" just make people sound really stupid.

Enjoy the information and be glad we're getting it. But as far as making conclusions, remember we have a bunch more practices and scrimmages, and two tuneup games, before we take the first snap that counts in Trailerhassee.

You got a point but when you constantly hear that the guys arent consistent and have accuracy issues thats a problem. I have never been sold on rosier or sheriffs being good.

It's April... "Little by little"..

The defense and running game will have to win us most of our games this year.

Don't most championship teams do that? If we can run the ball and play good D, we'll be in the ACC title game.

Allison must be a freaking bum if he can't beat out a three star in Rosier and a last minute Golden special

Told yall, Perry is our only hope

Some guys called Njoku a Golden special, too. Maybe wait and see what the kid can do before knocking him.

Shirreffs is smart , above average arm and good legs. That mixed with our athletes could be a good fit.

With our front 7/defense the qb's main job is not to make huge mistakes and move the chains. Whoever wins the job won't have as much pressure as say BK did. The offense won't be all on their shoulders. Oh and having # 1 in the backfield won't hurt.

Just get the ball into the hands of the play makers, and every now and then be able to move the chains with his feet. That's all I want from our QB, whoever it is.

We need someone who is going to protect the ball. Whoever can just not throw INT should win the job.

Defense is supposed too be ahead. Miami should have an elite defense this year. I'd be a lot more worried if the offense did well this early.

Keep telling yourself that. This aint no young offense. You have 2 qbs who have been here 3 or 4 years and other guys who has been in the system and should know the offense.
Alotta moving pieces including the o-line compared to dudes that know who's playing with who in the unit.

All the o-linemen on 1st team played and started games last year except for donaldson.

They were also suspect all season

Thank you...thats the point.

I love our fans...new QB and an under performing, even pathetic at times, OL...one Spring and NeVaughn, boom...what's wrong with this veteran stellar offense? lmfao.

The OL will be better, the QB..whoever it is, will have growing pains....but stop acting like we were hanging 60 points a game last year.

Our season is simply let the MUCH IMPROVED AND EVEN DOMINANT defense hold the line as our offense gets acclimated...work Walton and try and keep it simple for whoever the next in line at QB happens to be. At TE and WR/RB...we should be fine...but expecting an all world QB and O-line immediately is hilarious.

UM

Certainly, we can't afford a turnover machine back there.

I'm with Peter Ariz saying that Perry is the best option. I don't care if he been here a month give me the best player and put him under center

No one knows if Perry is the best player. He looks great on film against HIGH SCHOOL kids. Kyle Wright, Kirby Freeman and Robert Marve all looked great against HS competition. We'll see how he does in the fall against our D. Writing off the current guys seems a lot premature.

Go Canes!

IMO hes the best player based on film maybe im wrong but thats my guy over the rest, he brings an element the rest dont and its not the run game either its his calmness and awareness in the pocket.

Remains to be seen if he can do it at the college level, especially as a true freshman. Long list of guys who we're the next great one until they started playing for real.

i know im putting myself out there but I believe he will be a savage......he was number 1 on there board over garvin bandy both Djs and Juedy and everyone.

I guarantee you that we win more games this year than we ever won with Kaaya. Spin that any way you'd like.

That has always been the key to success at Miami. We don't need much at QB with the amount of talent we surround the QB with.

Or maybe Richt wants a mature QB who knows his system. With the type of season we possibly could have I don't see Richt putting the game in a QB freshman's hands.

Doesnt matter if you know the system if you cant play.

What the **** makes you so sure both Rosier and Shirreffs "can't play"? Stop speaking in absolutes when you don't know what you're talking about, dumbass.

**** you. You got a problem with me or some? I would be happy to fix the problem for you.

**** some of you guys act like we should have Aaron Rodgers as our starter with Peyton Manning, Tom Brady, Joe Montana and Brett Farve on the bench. Even then if they throw an incomplete pass it's the end of the world. Relax we'll be fine.

If Shirreffs is the starter, watch how every pass that isn't complete will have its own thread here.

seriously.

these guys would have cut steve walsh, benched ken dorsey, and not even recruited bernie kosar

They did it to Dorsey. That three game stretch in 99 where we set the school record for points only happened because it was a weak stretch of schedule. Had nothing to do with the noodle armed QB that just happened to be able to complete passes. "Wait until he plays a real team!" There was quite the division.

Thats going to happen no matter who the qb is.
