Richt talks QBs after first scrimmage of spring

Richt isn't saying diddly squat.

He's playing the long game. Motivation. A bit of psychology.

Some guys here need to form their own psychic networks.

LOL at the ninnies getting worked up on extremely limited and general information, from a coach who's playing it close to the vest, and on the very first scrimmage.

The very first scrimmage, after a week of practice.

Any conclusions or proclamations of "this sucks" or "that's great" or "we're in trouble" just make people sound really stupid.

Enjoy the information and be glad we're getting it. But as far as making conclusions, remember we have a bunch more practices and scrimmages, and two tuneup games, before we take the first snap that counts in Trailerhassee.

I agree with you 100%. You must be an old man, too. lol.

And you think rosier or sheriffs will beat them?

Yes I think we have QBs on our roster (including Perry) that can do a better job than Kaaya at winning.

Lol. Why couldnt either one come close to taking his job if they are better? You are in denial. These dudes aint better than kaaya.

Kaaya makes our offense worse, Richt knew it and pushed him out

Lol. And rosier and sheriffs makes it better? You dudes gone be crying when the season starts.

You're doing a lot of crying right now...step off the chair Brooks and take a deep breath. It was one scrimmage.

the reason Coach Richt wanted the qbs to get hit during the scrimmage anyway is bc of Brad Kaaya.... he saw that Kaaya looks like Tom Brady when it's touch football but turns into Ryan Leaf under pressure. But yall crying thinking we are going to be begging for him next season?? lmao hilarious

Defense is supposed too be ahead. Miami should have an elite defense this year. I'd be a lot more worried if the offense did well this early.

Keep telling yourself that. This aint no young offense. You have 2 qbs who have been here 3 or 4 years and other guys who has been in the system and should know the offense.

You always want your defense to dominate in scrimmages. Not worried.

Sounds like unless things change drastically in the next few months we'll be having a true freshman start game 1

to do what??? lose to FSU again? gtfoh

Another porster to induct in the Clown Hall of Shame.

This one for pulling a "Rick pushed him out" straight out of his ***. Apparently this all-star clown knows something nobody else knows, including the people closest to Rick.

Congrats on your induction into the Hall.

Jeez, this board can really be over-the-top sometimes.

After a QB exceeds a certain minimum amount of capability, whether or not he excels is mostly mental. So I think it's premature to say Allison is a JAG months before his RS Freshman year. Let's give the kid a chance to develop his game.

A good defense should always dominate the offense in Spring and early summer ball. On top of that, we lost Kaaya, Coley, Njoku, Idadora and Gall ... essentially half our offense including our QB and our 1st-round draft TE. Meanwhile, we bring back all our front 7 and 2-3 DB starters from last year's top 20 defense. Why would anyone think our offense should move the ball 75 yards with ease against that?

It sounds like CMR was not to hep on any of the QBs. He's waiting on Perry.

Exactly and Richt even said that the offense did a lot better in the second half and probably won that half of the scrimmage

Richt says he didn't give the other true freshman QB, Weldon, any snaps because he didn't think he was ready. ... I know everyone's hyped on Perry's x-factor athleticism. But I am quite certain Richt's NOT waiting on him, and I highly doubt we'll see a lot of him, if any at all, in games in 2017.

This board is ridiculous.

First of all, we will not be begging for Kaaya. Unbelievably short memory some of you have. Second, it's spring and the first scrimmage. Does no one remember the offense getting its *** kicked last year too? Because I promise you it happened regardless of what you have convinced yourselves. Even Kaaya, the the Greentree co-heisman along with Berrios, could not lead the offense to dominant spring performances.

This is also true. Kaaya looked amazing in practice, but as soon as he got some real pressure he mostly folded, which seriously crippled the offense at times last season (along with other things, but those are different topics). Richt wants to know what he has before we walk the new starter into the lion's den in week 3.

The only thing that maybe has me missing Kaaya is that Richt sort of figured him out by the end of the year, and we know he was a least competent.

Fool gtfo. I aint crying about ****. Im just telling it how it is.

Richt even admitted that he didn't watch much film of what our guys did in 2015 so he probably automatically assumed kaaya was capable of avoiding pressure and we found out the hard way during a 4 game stretch.

It was a scrimmage. Two quarterbacks did well. Lot of situational stuff. We have a really good defense and defense is always ahead of the offense. Things will start to pan out between the quarterbacks after this first scrimmage

I'm with Peter Ariz saying that Perry is the best option. I don't care if he been here a month give me the best player and put him under center

What im saying has nothing to do with the scrimmage today. It has to do with just not feeling like rosier and sheriffs are good enough.

All I want to know is, did we have any injuries? If the answer is no, then it was another good practice. That is all.
