They should take Cunningham and get rid of the dead weight on this team

The dead weight is pretty much gone after this season(but Alexis, Wells, and King are left).

Those are Golden's roster fillers that he brought in. I don't see him dumping his own guys after two seasons.

There fillers like you said, what if we get depth at DT will King keep a scholly? I'm not so sure. Just my opinion though.

I still expect ajl to wind up at S.

I thought Jean-Louis was headed to defensive back until Mariucci said he was the best (and most polished) WR at Under Armour. We knew he had the explosiveness we need at wideout, but I was surprised to hear how advanced he was.

He says he'll play both ways at Fork Union so we shall see.

Like peter says, he's planning to play there this year, he is willing to p,ay there at UM, and IMO our numbers and needs will push him there, at least to start his career. Plus, i think he'll be very good at db.

I know the question on everybody's mind is.... will we be taking a punter this cycle?

Thanks.

I don't think we are, noticed a lot of new walkon punters/kickers added to the roster this fall.Hopefully one of them can be good enough to earn a ship a couple years from now.

forget about whitfield....lol dead horse

Now bain/bostwick another issue, while I think it's fair to give them the benefit of the doubt. Alexis, Wells, and King/Perry should give up there ships. They aren't even going to contribute from what I've been told. All four are major projects. Think Keion Payne minus the weed, just not UM material.

The really sad part is that Alexis and Wells could be asked to play huge minutes in 2014. Our OL recruiting has been subpar to say the least.

Huge minutes?

Yeah, if like 3 or 4 guys go down.

OT
Bunche
Flowers
Gadbois
(Kirkland)

OG
Feliciano
Isidora
Wells
(Gall)

OC
McDermott
Alexis

3 or 4 guys? I dont see it. To me, they look like they're fighting against true FR from 2014 and Gall to be the 2nd string backups at OG or C. I guess you could cannibalize OT's and force them to switch down (Gadbois or Kirkland) but then you're left with 3 schollie OTs for 2 starting spots???? And that's presuming that it's easy to just switch OL positions (a philosophy i hate that Kehoe appears to be in love with).

This is why i find OL incredibly precarious.

ETA: and this is presuming guys like McDermott and Isidora pan out. That's an assumption, not a fact.

Offensive line will produce more pros than any other position on the team. Including Flowers and Isidora.

Your take on the offensive line is well known.

I'm not as worried. I think we take 3-4 this year, and 3-4 next year (and yes I understand they'll be true frosh; youth doesn't preclude a guy from stepping up and taking meaningful snaps in a pinch). JUCO isn't out of the question, either.

I'm more concerned with finding impact guys than finding bodies.

8 upperclassmen on the OL is normal.

Think AJL would be our best WR prospect if he made it this year. Love him, he's a guy who wants to be a Cane

I actually think cb is his best position based on the film I've seen.

That is an average OL depth chart to be honest...we may be 1 guy short. You can't have studs backing up studs every year. Its very common for a freshman or 2 to find themselves on the two-deep. Its pretty obvious you're new to this.

You don't have to "force" Kirkland inside. He's a better fit there.
