Zach McCloud may end up in the end being the best linebacker out of all 3 of the freshmen that came in. I remember last year a very well respected recruiter said he was the best Outside Linebacker in the state of Florida coming out of HS and I believe him because Zach played HS football 5 minutes from my house at Santaluces. He is the real deal. If he don't get hurt, he's going in the first round in 3-4 years.

Him or shaq is my pick

Malcolm Lewis was an explosive receiver, how can u not be an explosive receiver but make the type of play he made as a true freshman receiver against Boston College??? Like I said ur eye for things football related especially talent is very questionable??? Coach Macho

LOL @ YOU telling ME that my eye for things football related is questionable.

Considering what I've done and where I am today...and where YOU are right now...

You're not even worth entertaining. Your comment about me having questionable football knowledge is laughable.

You're a kid, dude. Your user name is a Future album. What more needs to be said? LOL

As if you even have enough knowledge yourself to judge whether mine is questionable. LOL. Who the fvck are you?

Lol where are u today? Aren't u like a play play assistant high school coach?

I'm not the type that gets off on comparing ppls lives but u might wanna wait til u atleast get a DII college fb coaching position before u flex lol

Its funny how u think u are the most qualified football expert on this site / ur not even close / ur analysis comes off like a novice...

Has he struggled a lot in coverage at the practices that you have attended?

In the practice video itu had on the first couple of days when they were doing 1 on 1s with the tight ends and running backs he was

so you saw a couple reps of a drill from a practice? nice sample size to draw a conclusion from.

It was bad... Zach mccloud is one of my favorite players on the team so don't get it confused. Just because you say a player needs to work on his coverage skills doesn't mean anything but that... Pinckney probably has the best coverage skills of any of the linebackers including grace.

Brock, are you drawing all of these conclusions based on a practice video that you watched? You're saying that McCloud "needs to improve in coverage" and is "bad" in coverage and that Pinckney "has the best coverage skills of any of the linebackers including Grace" based on a clip of a practice that you saw on the internet. You're talking about two players who are both true freshmen and have never seen action in a D1 college football game...two players nobody has ever seen play in college. Do you not see how ridiculous you sound by making those statements?

I'm not saying he is downright terrible in coverage BUT on that day the first day of practice it didn't look good at all. I'm sure he has improved in that area. Y'all taking this too serious. Mccloud isn't a finished product, no one on this team is. So it's not outlandish to say he needs to improve on his coverage skills because we all know he is very physical and can hit....

end of the day, Malcolm is our 3rd wr. he is nothing more then a possession wr. that has always been macho's point.

IMHO Lewus is a possession receiver. Nothing wrong with that! They play an important role.
BUT when you say explosive receiver....that's a receiver that can blow past the defense and get over top. A receiver that can score from anywhere on the field, out run defenders etc. That's not Malcolm Lewis.
When I think of explosive receiver I think of someone with a burst or speed similar to a Santana Moss.
Lewis is a good receiver but he is not explosive.

No it hasn't Macho and other fools on this site said he wasnt good enough for a scholarship and hes going to have trouble getting on the field this year??

Lol hilarious but now hes the 3rd WR on the Team like u say, but also getting reps as the #2 WR spot as well, after his ankle was snapped backwards??

Based on that its likely he couldve done a lot of great things as a WR if the injury never happened....

Hes more than just a possession receiver, possession receivers cant get YAC but Lewis can / and him being a #3 WR isnt a knock especially when "experts" like Macho said he never belonged on the team in the 1st place??

I'm at one of the most respected public school programs in the state. I have zero desire to coach at a D2 program. The pay isn't worth the grind.

See, you wouldn't know that though, cause you're a kid who's knowledge of football is about as extensive as your johnson. Your "football experience" lies within this message board, nowhere else. I can "flex" on you all day. Whether I'm on the path of coaching righteousness or not is irrelevant, I'm clearly more qualified than you and it's not even close.

LOL @ I'm not even close. Who knows more about football on here than me? As much? Possibly. More? GTFOH. Definitely ain't you. LOL

LOL @ him getting YAC.

He ran into his own blocker during a bubble screen a couple seasons ago.

If there's one thing I know about ol' Flirty Sprite...

This ***** thinks every player wearing UM gear is elite.

How old are you? Serious question.

Who ask these types of questions on a message board? serious question

I do. Now answer the question. The answer will help me understand your posts better.

I'm 22 and quit be weird. Getting tired of some of these weird mfs on this board

Bro, asking your age isnt weird. Trying to do a full assessment on a player through a 20 sec clip of drills is weird.

I figured you were a young buck. It shines through your posts.

Man, you got a lot to learn, dude. But you trying. Ill give you that.

I've said all along that he'll be the best linebacker in this year's class with potential to be one of our best ever, providing he stays healthy. Its good to hear that he's out there playing.

I appreciate the info from D, but he posts these glowing reviews each year and the season doesn't always play out that way. Considering such, I find it hysterical that someone calls out Macho (his take of Lewis from his high school days) based on his opinion of things before he's even played a meaningful down under Richt.

I'm just traumatized watching Curtis porter roaming the secondary. Any mention of dl and coverage has me on edge. I just want 4 dl always going upfield every single play nothing fancy just like the Miami way. I never remember Miami doing a zone blitz until golden. Never under butch sciano Shannon bill young

I actually remember this. :nba-kobe_bryant-ups It was quite painful to watch.

Good news on Lewis. Most people had him on the scrap heap already. As desperate as we are for WRs, he can really help if hes all the way back physically. Very curious about how much speed he has now.
People were making lists of jags they wanted to see transfer with his name on it...

Macho where did you gain all of this football knowledge that are talking about. Not looking for an argument I am just curious what you have done in your coaching career to crown yourself the most knowledgeable football mind on this board? What coaching accomplishments are on your resume? If you are as knowledgeable as you claim to be you must have been a successful coach on your own merit at some level. You must have won something that would lead you to believe that you have some sort of dynamic football mind that nobody on a college football message board should dare question you. I am a defensive backs coach at a small high school in Wisconsin so I feel that I have some knowledge about the game but I would never come here pounding my chest about how much I know about football.

I have never seen any posts from you that detail anything schematically about the game. Not that you haven't posted any...just not any that I have seen so it would be hard to actually determine what you actually know. I always appreciated reading posts by LuCane back when he would describe what was schematically wrong with what the Golden regime was teaching. He is always very in-depth and extremely clear when posting. I would like to see something like that from you. Please add some of that to the board and let us all share in how much you know about the game. You asked the question so I guess I will answer it for you, LuCane is at least one person on this board that knows more about football than you.

I don't know what Beardy said because I don't make a habit of cataloging old posts. But if he said Malcolm shouldn't get a scholarship to UM, and Malcolm is our 3rd WR this year and puts up some decent numbers, then he'll earn his scholarship.

If Beardy suggested an alternate WR that we could have and should have signed, and that dude put together a better career than Malcolm will here, then Beardy was right.
