I think Harris gets a bit of a sarcastic rep because of the whole "Toolbox" thing, but he was a stud out of high school and I think he'll be a good one here. He has a nasty first step, similar to Olivier Vernon, IMO.

I think people call him that because he is not the biggest or most ahtletic guy. But he is a hard worker and is just a good football player.

it isn't sarcasm. Toolbox is a stud.

The biggest surprise to me is Michael Irvin, not because I didn't think he was any good, but because if he is taking a lot of second unit reps, that means he is going up against the first unit defense. He has already become a safety blanket for our backup qbs that is facing a very good attacking front 7.

Irving is a dude who actually lost hype by going to STA. He was one of a thousand potential targets instead of being the man where he was.

I think he caught 21 passes in a single game against IMG when he was playing HS ball in Texas. If he played his senior year on that team he would have had incredible stats and more hype.

Our boy is gonna make us proud, Ben. Toolbox for life!

I'm kind of surprised about Irvin i thought it would take him a year or 2 develop. IDK why i ever doubted the last name.

That's the Jake Allen effect. Same thing happend to Bruce.

People are backtracking now saying the toolbox label is a good thing. It was a name created to mock him because of Golden and because he was getting more reps than players we perceived to be better from behind the keyboard or based on stars, etc.

Like Elder and Berrios, I hope this kid really shines for some of the crap he takes on here.

The funny thing is that Harris wasn't exactly an unknown coming out of highschool. He was a highly recruited kid coming out of Winter Park where he was extremely productive. Like someone just mentioned, Trent was a sack machine at the US level. Trent's crimes were that he wasn't as highly touted or hyped as AQM and Chad Thomas as well as the fact that Al and Dorito liked him because he consistent and always played his assignments the way they were drawn up. Lost in all of that has been the fact that Trent is a very good football player.

Good news on Lewis. Most people had him on the scrap heap already. As desperate as we are for WRs, he can really help if hes all the way back physically. Very curious about how much speed he has now.

People were making lists of jags they wanted to see transfer with his name on it...

Zach mccloud needs to improve in coverage but man.... He is not even scratching the surface of how talented he can be. Love the linebacker class we signed man...

I'm excited to see guys like Mayes and Young standing out in practice. It wasn't long ago that every corner not named Elder was a huge question mark but with Colbert coming in and locking down one spot and Redwine holding his own as a #3 , A battle for the #4 corner spot is refreshing. Maybe the depth is there everywhere but it's looking a lot better than it was in the spring.

Like a poster said, Trent was a big time commit when he signed on. This whole "toolbox" nonsense got started by dumb a$$ Golden. We will not take a step down in production if AQM or Chad go down and he is inserted. Great depth at the DE spot to the point where there is zero reason to play JJackson unless he is 100% ready to go or someone gets injured.. We are a legit 4 deep at DE. (AQM-Thomas-Harris-DJax)

Mark me down as one of the guys ready to throw MLewis to the wolves. Thought he was damaged goods and didnt want him taking reps from Richards or Mullins. Props to the kid for hanging in there and maybe turning into this years Davon Johnson.

Barring injury or some crazy drop in production, Njoku is gone after this year because I expect him to be our #2 receiving option and become a beast. So Herndon will slide into his role and Irvin will slide into Herndons role next year. Thats what you call reloading and not rebuilding.

Im glad McCloud can have a year to still gain exp through garbage time and special teams but not be depended on. When Grace graduates we will unleash him next year and I expect him to become a household name like Shaq is already. McCloud is already 6'2 230 and with his range and violent nature? Smh. Lol.

Love McCloud.

Has he struggled a lot in coverage at the practices that you have attended?

so you saw a couple reps of a drill from a practice? nice sample size to draw a conclusion from.
